Systems and methods for processing preauthorized automated banking machine-related transactions
Embodiments of the disclosure enable a transaction to be preauthorized. A system receives a request for preauthorization of a transaction including a transaction amount and a cardholder identifier, identifies a cardholder account based on the cardholder identifier, determines a transaction timeframe and a machine identifier, and accesses the cardholder account to determine whether to process the transaction in accordance with a nonvisual communication program. On condition that the transaction is to be processed in accordance with the nonvisual communication program, the system generates an instruction to identify a capture time, determine whether the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe, and dispense the transaction amount of cash in accordance with the nonvisual communication program on condition that the capture time satisfies the transaction timeframe. Aspects of the disclosure provide for preauthorizing the transaction in a secure and user-friendly manner.
PAYMENT SYSTEM BASED ON A GLOBAL DATABASE OF INVOICES
Systems and methods for secure purchasing are provided in which, at a merchant device, an invoice is generated comprising a remittance amount and a merchant identification. The invoice is associated with an invoice identification. The invoice is transmitted to a remote invoice database. At a consumer device, the invoice identification is received. A request that includes the invoice identification is transmitted to the invoice database. Information about the invoice is received from the invoice database including the remittance amount and merchant identification. The remittance amount, merchant identification, and a prompt to confirm the invoice are displayed. Responsive to receiving approval from the consumer, the invoice is transmitted to a remote account database comprising an account corresponding to the consumer. At a device associated with the remote account database, after receiving the approval of the invoice from the consumer device, the amount of the invoice is remitted to the merchant.
MONEY HANDLING SYSTEM AND MONEY HANDLING METHOD
A banknote handling system includes: first and second banknote handling apparatuses, each comprising: a hopper configured to receive banknotes, a transport path along which the banknotes received in the hopper are transported, a recognition unit configured to acquire a denomination and a serial number of each banknote transported along the transport path, and a control unit programmed to generate information including the denominations and the serial numbers of the banknotes acquired by the recognition unit; and a determination unit programmed to: receive the information and determine whether or not a total monetary amount of the banknotes processed by the second banknote handling apparatus matches a total monetary amount of the banknotes processed by the first banknote handling apparatus.
Apparatus and methods for contact-minimized ATM transaction processing using radar-based gesture recognition and authentication
Apparatus and methods for contact-minimized automated teller machine (“ATM”) use and transaction processing using Doppler-radar based gesture recognition and authentication. The apparatus and methods may include an ATM including a millimeter-wave radar transmitter and receiver. Movement of one or more objects, including fingers, within a radar field may be analyzed and translated into gestures and authentication passcode(s). By utilizing the radar field instead of physical buttons or a touchscreen, contact with the ATM may be minimized.
CARDLESS ATM CONNECTIVITY FOR DENOMINATION SELECTION
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for providing denomination selection capabilities to account holders withdrawing funds via a cardless ATM system. An account holder may queue an ATM withdrawal in desired monetary denominations from a mobile application running on their mobile device. The account holder may subsequently scan a QR code displayed at an ATM using the mobile application and receive the desired monetary denominations from the ATM, all without using an ATM card. Two other approaches are provided to an account holder when queueing an ATM withdrawal that includes denominations. In a denomination-driven request, the account holder selects denominations first and then receives a list of proximate ATMs that can satisfy the denomination request. In a location-driven request, the account holder selects an ATM first and then can tailor the denomination request to the denominations available in the selected ATM.
Multi-function cashless gaming ATM
A system and method are provided for performing a cashless gaming ticket redemption transaction for a customer in a casino environment. The system includes a gaming machine, such as a slot machine, that the customer plays. Rather than issuing cash to the customer, the gaming machine issues a redemption ticket with a unique identifier to the customer. The unique identifier and the amount of the customer's winnings accrued on the gaming machine are stored and associated on a redemption ticket database. When the customer wishes to redeem the winnings, the redemption ticket is introduced to a multi-function ATM. To perform the ticket redemption transaction, the ATM is adapted to electronically accept the redemption ticket and read the unique identifier. The ATM then electronically communicates with the redemption database to retrieve the predetermined dollar value associated with the unique identifier. Finally, the ATM transfers to the customer an award equal to the predetermined dollar value in cash or credit.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS
The present disclosure provides a medium processing apparatus, including: a housing provided with a surface facing a customer operating the medium processing apparatus; and a rolled coin device housed in the housing and configured to process rolled coins formed by bundling a plurality of loose coins. The surface of the housing includes a designated area located in a height range conforming to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard with respect to a height direction of the medium processing apparatus, and a rolled coin dispensing port of the rolled coin device for dispensing the rolled coins is arranged in the designated area.
Videoconferencing with a customer device
In an example embodiment, there is described herein an automated banking machine with a user interface that enables a customer perform a financial transaction. The automated banking machine also comprises a first interface for communicating with a remote service provide and a second interface that can communicate with a customer service device. Upon receiving an input from the customer requesting assistance, the automated banking machine establishes a communication link between the remote service provider and the customer device. The communication link enables audio, video, or a combination of audio and video data to be sent between the customer device and the remote service provider.
Cash transaction machine
Introduced is a technology for withdrawing cash from a cash transaction machine (CTM) by use of a mobile payment application installed on a mobile device of a consumer user (“the CTM technology”). Briefly described, the CTM technology enables a consumer user to identify one or more CTMs from which to withdraw cash by using his/her mobile device (e.g., a smartphone) as a “virtual” card. A particular CTM can be a conventional ATM or a POS system at a merchant's place of business. The user can use a mobile payment application installed on the user's mobile device to identify any nearby CTMs, request a withdrawal amount from a particular CTM from the identified nearby CTMs, receive a transaction code specific to that particular CTM, and physically obtain, or collect, the cash representative of the withdrawal amount at that particular CTM using the transaction code.
