In the accessibility keypad mode a second set of actions is mapped to the keys of the keypad. The second set of actions is different than a first set of actions mapped to the keys of the keypad in a standard keypad mode. The second set of actions comprises one or more of actions for navigation and input selection of the graphical user interface, actions for control of audio being reproduced, actions for control of volume of the audio being reproduced, or actions for control of a rate of reproduction of the audio being reproduced.

Self-service modular drop safes with messenger access capability

Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.

A systems and method for reconfigurable and/or updatable lightweight electronic devices are disclosed for a computer system for facilitating financial transactions and reducing the opportunity for fraud. Via use of such a device, system, or method, various capabilities for a user are provided, simplified, secured, and/or made more convenient. The system may interact with various other devices or systems, including those that are cloud-based or communicate through the cloud, and may utilize various local sensors, in order to provide one or more of improved access, monitoring, user diagnostics, and so forth.

Systems and methods for card-handling by point of sale devices

A computer vision card reader and/or point of sale device is described. The device is configured to sense when a user inserts a card into a card reader and to determine when a user departs or is about to depart from the device without retrieving the card. The device may issue an audible or visible alert to the user, reminding the user to retrieve the card. The device may additionally send a notification to a mobile device associated with the user that reminds the user that he has left a card at the point of sale. In some embodiments, message sent to the user contains a code and, upon entry of the code, the point of sale or card reader device returns the card to the user.

The present invention relates to a biometric automated teller machine that uses biometrics to authenticate a user rather than a bank card and personal identification number. The biometric automated teller machine comprises a biometric scanner configured to scan the fingerprint of the user and a camera configured to scan the iris and retina of the user. The captured biometric is compared with biometrics that have been registered by the user for the purpose of authentication. The biometric automated teller machine enables the user to withdraw cash and perform other actions in a safer, more convenient, and simpler manner than do current automated teller machines.

Systems and methods for pre-executing idiosyncratic computation through the application of algorithmic prediction of user behavior patterns

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a machine-learning transaction-prediction engine for seasoning an anticipated manual transaction. The transaction may occur in a transaction session. The seasoning may occur prior to execution of the anticipated manual transaction. The transaction-prediction engine may include a receiving/storage module configured to receive and store identification information of the transactor. The engine may also include a step-retrieval module configured to retrieve a set of in-session transaction steps associated with the transactor. In addition, the engine may include a history-retrieval module configured to retrieve, based on the stored identification information, historical transactional information associated with the transactor. The historical transaction information comprising a plurality of historical transaction patterns associated with the transactor. The engine may also include a processor module configured to initiate the anticipated manual transaction by predicting and provisionally completing the in-session transaction steps. The predicting may be based on the set of in-session transaction associated with the transactor and on the plurality of historical patterns.

Wait times at ATMs may undermine the utility of these self-service machines. ATMs are configured to provide faster self-service kiosks that allow users to quickly perform common financial transactions. However, it has been increasing common for users to have to wait on a line to access an ATM. Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card that stages transactions by capturing the amount, pin and other necessary information on the smart card itself, before the user begins interacting with the ATM. Information captured by the smart card may be transferred to ATM when the smart card is inserted into ATM. The user does not provide the ATM with any additional information after inserted the smart card into the ATM, thereby improving the transaction processing efficiency of the ATM and enhancing user satisfaction.

Method for personal data administration in a multi-actor environment
11520922 · 2022-12-06 ·

A method for personal data administration in a multi-actor environment is performed by a system that includes a data management process managed by a remote server. The system includes a user profile that is associated to a user PC device and includes a set of data management protocols and a user data registry. The system also includes a third-party account that is associated to an account ID and a third-party data registry. The method begins when a data transmission notification is received by the remote server. The remote server analyzes the notification to select an appropriate protocol from the data management protocols. The method then executes the data management protocol, makes a record of the interaction, and transmits an outgoing data packet to the third-party account. The method then monitors the outgoing data packet to determine if the user data contained therein has been transferred interacted or tampered with.
