Self-service modular drop safes

Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UPDATING AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINES
20230333840 · 2023-10-19 ·

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for deploying and/or rolling back automatic teller machine (ATM) updates. Such methods can store a back-up system image of a client operating system on a virtual hard drive. When an update is deployed from a host operating system to the client operating system, the system update may fail to install properly, and the ATM may shut down. In response, the host operating system can execute instructions to the client operating system to boot from a bootable image on the virtual hard drive. Then, the virtual hard drive can emulate, by a boot loader on the back-up system image, the client operating system on the ATM from the virtual hard drive without loading the client operating system. Then, the virtual hard drive can install a rolled-back operating system on the ATM. The rolled-back operating system can comprise the back-up system image.

Intelligent Self Evolving Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Digital Twin Apparatus for Enhancing Real Time ATM Performance
20230316876 · 2023-10-05 ·

Aspects of the disclosure relate to ATM monitoring and enhancement. A computing platform may detect ATM performance information from an ATM. The computing platform may validate the ATM performance information against baseline ATM performance information. Based on validating the ATM performance information, the computing platform may generate a digital twin for the ATM, and may input the digital twin into a deep learning model for anomaly detection. Based on identifying that the digital twin includes an anomaly, the computing platform may update and simulate the updated digital twin. The computing platform may determine, using smart contracts stored on a distributed ledger, whether or not an update to the ATM based on the updated digital twin is approved. Based on determining that the update to the ATM is approved, the computing platform may direct the ATM to perform a configuration update based on the updated digital twin.

Systems and methods for rewards redemption atm banners

An automated teller machine (“ATM”) includes a network interface, a display device, and an input/output device. The ATM further includes a processing circuit including a processor and a memory, the memory structured to store instructions that are executable by the processor. The instructions cause the processing circuit to receive authentication information from the customer and authenticate the customer using the authentication information, retrieve a real-time rewards balance of a rewards account associated with the customer, generate a banner for the customer based on the real-time rewards balance, and display the banner to the customer. The banner is selectable and activates a rewards functionality of the ATM to cause the ATM to display a screen including at least one of the real-time rewards balance or an option for the customer to redeem the rewards balance held by the customer when the banner is selected.

ADAPTIVE AUTHENTICATION

Systems and techniques for an adaptive authentication system are described herein. In an example, an adaptive authentication system is adapted to receive a request at a first entity from a second entity for secure data of a user, where the second entity is remote from the first entity. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to transmit a prompt to a user device associated with the user for authentication of the user and authentication of the request. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to receive a response to the prompt and authenticate the user and the request based on the response. The adaptive authentication system may be further adapted to transmit the secure data of the user to the second entity.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A financial transaction method can include creating a token correlated to a financial account. The method can also include storing the correlation between the token and the financial account in a token database. The method can also include transmitting the token to a mobile computing device operating an application. The method can also include displaying the token on a display of the mobile computing device. The method can also include receiving, over a public network, the token and data associated with a first financial transaction. The method can also include confirming identity between the token transmitted to the mobile computing device and the token received from the secondary computing device. The method can also include transmitting over the public network, approval of the first financial transaction to the secondary computing device in response to the confirming.

Identification of anomalies in an automatic teller machine (ATM) network

Aspects of the disclosure relate to monitoring an automatic teller machine (ATM) network and determining anomalous fault behavior in the ATM network. A computing device may determine historical fault volumes in the ATM network and generate a time-series model of the fault volumes. The computing platform may predict future fault volumes based on the generated time-series model. Based on the predicted future fault volumes and actual future fault volumes, the computing platform may determine anomalous fault behavior. The time-series model may be based on exogenous factors associated with ATM network operations.

Smart card dependent transfer technology
11640599 · 2023-05-02 · ·

Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card which enables users to securely complete online transfers without entering sensitive transaction information into a third-party system. The smart card may include a touch-sensitive screen configured to display selectable transfer options. The smart card may include a microprocessor and wireless interface. The wireless interface may provide wireless communication capabilities and the ability to initiate online transfers based on information captured by the touch-sensitive screen. The smart card may be a parent smart card associated with a parent account. The parent account may be linked to a dependent account. The parent smart card may receive a communication related to the dependent account. Selectable transfer options displayed on the touch-sensitive screen may enable a transfer from the parent account to the dependent account.

Dual-core ATM

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments a dual-core automated teller machine (ATM). The dual core ATM system and method includes two physical central processing units (“computing devices” or “cores”) that are configured to perform operations in coordination with peripheral devices. Peripheral devices of the dual-core ATM system can include a peripheral screen, such as a touch screen, a card reader, a PIN pad (e.g., an encrypted pin pad or “EPP”), a cash dispenser, and a cash deposit module. A peripheral switch can isolate one of the computing devices from the one or more peripheral devices and that can permit the other of the computing devices to control the one or more peripheral devices. By maintaining redundant hardware sets within the ATM enclosure, the system can avoid a necessary reboot or powering-off in the event of, for example, a software failure.

COMMUNICATION METHOD BETWEEN HOST AND DEVICES IN ATM
20230368623 · 2023-11-16 ·

A method of communication between a host of an automated teller machine and a device. The process is performed as a result of sensor polling which the host periodically performs to check a state of a device. The process is simplified by employing an interrupt communication scheme in which an interrupt signal for notifying that a change of a sensor value occurs in the device is transmitted from a device to a host. This simplification reduces USB traffic that occurs during a process of communication between the host of the automated teller machine and the device, thereby reducing a load that is applied to a communication hardware chip of the automated teller machine. As a result, the frequency with which a communication failure occurs is decreased, thereby achieving the effect of providing support for seamless communication.
