SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT OF AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINES

Disclosed herein are systems and methods of automated teller machine (ATM) management. The method can include receiving, from an ATM, an operating log from an out-of-band management chip. The method can further include determining, from the operating log, that the ATM is in an out-of-service state. The method can further include transmitting instructions to the out-of-band management chip to capture a system image of the ATM. In response, the method can include receiving the system image of the ATM from the out-of-band management chip and diagnosing a fault in the ATM based on the system image. The fault in the ATM can be the fault which caused the ATM to be in the out-of-service state. Finally, the method can include transmitting instructions for one or more corrective actions to the out-of-band management chip. The corrective actions can remedy the fault in the ATM.

Identification of Anomalies in an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) Network

Aspects of the disclosure relate to monitoring an automatic teller machine (ATM) network and determining anomalous fault behavior in the ATM network. A system may determine historical fault volumes in the ATM network and generate a time-series model of the fault volumes. The system may predict future fault volumes based on the generated time-series model. Based on the predicted future fault volumes and actual future fault volumes, the system may determine anomalous fault behavior and perform a remedial action associated with the ATM fault code determined from anomalous observed fault volumes.

Secure wireless card reader

In some examples, a wireless card reader detects insertion of a chip card at a chip card reader interface that includes electrical contacts positioned in the wireless card reader to contact contacts of the chip card when inserted into the wireless card reader. The wireless card reader may send, to a mobile computing device, a wireless communication request to send a PIN to the card reader. The card reader may receive, from the mobile computing device, a wireless communication including the PIN entered by a user on the mobile computing device. The card reader may send the PIN for authentication of the PIN. The card reader may receive a confirmation that the PIN has been authenticated. The card reader may send, to the mobile computing device, via the communication component, an indication of the confirmation that the PIN has been authenticated.

Systems and methods for completing transactions via lockable boxes

A method performed by a processor of a provider computing system includes allowing an account holder at the provider to initiate a transaction with the provider remotely (e.g., via smartphone, online banking, etc.), by submitting a request for a specified transaction to be picked up in a lockbox at a provider's lockbox location. The pickup and completion of the account holder's requested transaction occurs at a lockbox location that has a plurality of lockboxes. The lockbox allows the account holder to access the facility at the account holder's leisure, both in time and location. The lockbox pickup service alleviates the uncertainty, fluctuating time cost, and inconvenient operating hours by allowing the account holder to request transactions with an easy to use interface resulting in a lockbox to be accordingly prepped so that the account holder can provide the proper authentication information and access the lockbox.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a payment server, an identity of a customer based on data obtained from a mobile application executing on a device associated with the customer. The method includes creating a financial account for the customer. The method includes, upon receiving a request for a cash deposit or cash withdrawal via the mobile application, facilitating, by the payment server, generation of an electronic code to be used at a point-of-sale (POS) device of a merchant. The method includes receiving transaction information associated with a transaction involving the customer and the POS device of the merchant. The transaction information includes the electronic code. The method includes identifying, based on the transaction information, the financial account of the customer. The method includes causing an adjustment of a monetary balance of the financial account of the customer in a mapping database.

Self-service modular drop safes with deposit creation capability

Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.

System, method, and computer program product for a contactless ATM experience

Systems, methods, and computer program products for a contactless automated teller machine (ATM) experience receive, from a telephone number, a first short message service (SMS) message including a unique identifier associated with an ATM terminal; in response to receiving the first SMS message, communicate, to the ATM terminal, a first password associated with the telephone number and the unique identifier; receive, from the telephone number, a second SMS message including the first password; verify the first password; in response to verifying the first password, transmit, to the telephone number, a third SMS message including an option to withdraw cash from the ATM terminal; receive, from the telephone number, a fourth SMS message including a selection of the option to withdraw the cash from the ATM terminal; and communicate, to the ATM terminal, a cash dispense command that causes the ATM terminal to dispense the cash.

A display method of displaying a user interface on a display region of a terminal, includes, using at least one processor, generating a user interface, the user interface indicating a total amount of money to be paid by a plurality of users, the user interface including a first display region and a second display region, the first display region corresponding to a first amount of money to be paid by a first user, and the second display region corresponding to a second amount of money to be paid by a second user; displaying, the generated user interface on a display panel of a first terminal associated with the first user; receiving, a user input on the first display region indicating a change in the first amount of money; and changing, the first display region and the first amount of money based on the received user input.

EXTENSIBLE INTERFACE FOR SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS PAYMENT

An applications programming interface (API) or other interface may be configured for use with a plurality of e-commerce applications and/or a plurality of payment systems. The API may be associated with an operating system of a client or may be otherwise located in an e-commerce system or network. The API may receive a call regarding a purchase transaction. The purchase transaction may be examined to determine if a payment method is synchronous or asynchronous. An appropriate payment system may be activated to perform the purchase transaction based at least in part on the determination made by the examination of the purchase transaction. A result of the purchase transaction may be sent to the e-commerce program. By revision of the API, developers of e-commerce applications are freed from the burden of revising code in response to the need to utilize additional or differently operated payment systems.
