PAYMENT MACHINE AND PAYMENT MACHINE METHOD
A payment machine has a processor connected to a display. The processor receives settlement data relating to a sales transaction and controls the display to show a first screen for selection of a payment method when the settlement data indicates the customer cannot use a member-specific payment method. The processor shows a second screen for accepting a designation to use the member-specific payment method or not if the settlement data indicates the customer can use the member-specific payment method and a third screen for accepting the member-specific payment method if the customer selects the member-specific payment method or the first screen if the customer does not select the member-specific payment method.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING DATA AT A MERCHANT DEVICE FROM A USER DEVICE OVER A WIRELESS LINK
A system and method for providing payments is disclosed. A method can include establishing a wireless link between a mobile device and a merchant device. After an instruction is displayed on the mobile device, a combination of a first type of input and a second type of input are received on the mobile device, first type of input including at least one button press of a physical button and the second type of input received from a user to confirm a payment for the purchase. Based on the inputs, payment data is retrieved from a memory of the mobile device. The method includes receiving the payment data at the merchant device to make the purchase, wherein receiving the payment data, via the wireless link, at the merchant device to make the purchase is performed according to a protocol for communicating the payment data to the merchant device.
System and Method for Point of Sale Transaction Logging
The present disclosure generally relates to a method and a hardware and software system for collecting data from retail point of sale. The hardware connects to a wide variety of barcode scanners and receipt printers. Collected data is transmitted to a cloud-based infrastructure backend system using a wireless internet connection built into the hardware. The collected data can be processed to extract item-level transaction information, and estimate the price and in-stock status of items in particular shops. A search engine can be provided using this data, which allows a customer to discover which nearby shop has an item of interest in stock. A targeted advertising system that complements this search service is also presented. The data can be used by retailers and manufacturers for business analysis and optimization.

LOG-IN CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF LOG-IN CONTROL APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION TERMINAL
In one embodiment, a log-in control apparatus has a processor which controls an operation for log-in to an information terminal moving along with a carrier for carrying a commodity to be purchased. The processor detects a state in which the commodity is placed on the carrier, in cooperation with a sensor attached to the carrier. The processor detects the operation for log-in to the information terminal, in cooperation with an input device included in the information terminal. When the processor detects the operation for log-in, in a case in which the processor detects the state in which the commodity is placed on the carrier, the processor judges that the operation for log-in is ineffective.

Auxiliary data management system
A system may include a plurality of stations that implement a workflow process. The workflow process may include reading a barcode in connection with at least some of the plurality of stations. The barcode may be attached to an item that is moved between the plurality of stations during the workflow process. The system may additionally include a plurality of devices. Each of the plurality of devices may be located at one of the plurality of stations. At least some of the plurality of devices may include barcode reading capability. The system may additionally include process management code stored in memory on at least some of the plurality of devices. The process management code may be executable by one or more processors on the plurality of devices to determine auxiliary data corresponding to the workflow process and send the auxiliary data to a server.
CHECKOUT SYSTEM
A checkout system includes a mobile terminal configured to acquire a commodity code for identifying a commodity. The checkout system further includes a controller configured to acquire a first amount indicating an amount payable by an electronic settlement procedure and display, on a display, a first screen for determining whether settlement is performed through the electronic settlement based on whether the first amount is equal to or greater than a second amount, which is a total amount of the commodity based on the commodity code.
MULTI-MODE POINT-OF-SALE DEVICE
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a cloud-based point-of-sale system and a multi-function point-of-sale (POS) device. In an embodiment, the POS device includes an interactive display that switches between a first position oriented towards and for use by an operating clerk, and a second position oriented towards and for use by a customer. The POS device is able to detect the switch between the first position and the second position. A processor in the POS device outputs a first graphical user interface (GUI) on the interactive display in response to detection of the first position and a second GUI in response to detection of the second position. In an embodiment, the components of the POS device are combined together in a unified assembly.
