According to an embodiment, a transaction processing system includes: a transaction processing apparatus, a payment apparatus, and a management apparatus. The transaction processing apparatus transmits first data indicating a result of adjustment for a plurality of processed transactions to the payment apparatus. The payment apparatus converts the first data into second data and transmits the second data to the management apparatus. The management apparatus manages the second data.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems to generate and communicate interactive digital proofs of transaction. In one implementation, the method may include receiving an indication of a payment transaction between a merchant and a user and processing payment for the payment transaction. The payment processing system generates one or more interactive digital proofs of transaction including at least details of the payment transaction and availability of a vacancy or resource at the payee location. The user may respond via the interactive receipt.

An information processing system includes an imager and a controller. The controller performs processing on a basis of an image captured by the imager. The controller performs a process for recognizing an object included in the image and, when the recognition process fails, performs a process for estimating a cause of the failure of the recognition process. The imager performs post-processing in which the imager at least changes an imaging condition of the imager or notifies a user in accordance with a result obtained through the estimation process.

An information processing system 10 includes an imager 14 and a controller. The imager 14 generates an image by performing image capturing. The controller estimates an object contained in the image based on the image. The controller is able to estimate an object and a category of the object by performing recognition processing on the image. The controller generates an instruction regarding the object based on the estimated category of the object when estimation of the object fails in the recognition processing.

A mobile device can establish a communication with a separate device via a single function action such as bringing the devices near to each other. A method can include establishing a communication between a mobile device and a separate device a via a wireless link, presenting an instruction associated with the potential purchase and receiving, after the instruction is displayed and interpreted by the mobile device, a combination of a first type of input and a second type of input with the mobile device, at least one of which can be a security measure to prevent unauthorized purchase. The method includes retrieving the payment data from a memory of the mobile device and transmitting the payment data via the wireless link to the separate device to make a purchase.

According to one embodiment, a commodity management device includes a first sensor configured to detect a movement of a commodity from a display region and a second sensor configured to detect a removal of a commodity from of the display region to outside of the display region by a person. A controller is configured to notify a designated notification destination when the movement of the commodity from the display region is detected by the first sensor but the removal of the commodity from the display region to outside the display region by a person has not been detected.

An embodiment of an information processing system includes a user terminal carried by a user; and a server being capable of communicating with the user terminal. The user terminal is comprised of: an obtaining unit configured to obtain product information and expiration information related to an expiration date of a product from the product; and a display controller configured to cause a display to show information containing an offered price of the product, which is acquired from the server. The server is comprised of: a price determination unit configured to determine the offered price of the product based on the product information and the expiration information acquired from the user terminal; and a price information providing unit configured to provide information that contains the offered price of the product determined by the price determination unit, to the user terminal.
