Flow management light

Techniques for creating, configuring, and employing flow management lights are presented. Such light(s) can comprise or be associated with a flow management component (FMC) that can employ sensors to monitor environmental conditions in a defined area of people or vehicle traffic, and can enhance its function to manage flow and security of the people or vehicle traffic. Such light(s) can be installed in a defined area. FMC can monitor and determine a context associated with the defined area, and can adjust light output or another parameter(s) of one or more lights based on the determined context. Over time, FMC can learn contexts of people or vehicle traffic at various times and adjust operations accordingly for the particular context at a specific time. FMC can control operations of such light(s) in relation to enhancing security and safety of people or traffic, business and sales operations, and other objectives.

Emergency Sign with Orientable Light Assemblies

An emergency sign with orientable light assemblies is an apparatus that displays a message or instructions and alerts nearby individuals of an emergency or event. The apparatus includes a sign, a first orientable light assembly, and a second orientable light assembly. The first orientable light assembly and the second orientable light assembly each include a brace, a post, a sleeve, a carriage, a track, and a light fixture. The first orientable light assembly and the second orientable light are mounted onto the sign and are opposite each other about the sign. The brace positions the light fixture about the sign. The sleeve integrated into the brace and the post is rotatably connected within the sleeve so that the light fixture may spin. The carriage is terminally mounted to the post and the track is integrated into the light fixture so that the light fixture may laterally slide.

An active exit system may include one or more active exit signs, each exit sign having at least one sensor, a display, and a transceiver. Each active exit sign monitors building environmental conditions, monitors the locations of users and objects within the building, and assists in location services during normal operation. The exit signs transmit a dynamic exit plan to a user's electronic device based on the user's location. In response to sensing an emergency event, the exit sign transmits an emergency signal to the user's electronic device and updates a user's exit plan as needed based on the location of the emergency event. The exit sign also transmits user location information to emergency responders.

Intelligent emergency evacuation system

Technologies for an emergency evacuation system include a system operator and one or more emergency lighting units located in a building. Each emergency lighting unit further includes a processor, communication circuitry configured to communicate with the system operator, and a light indicator configured to be illuminated to indicate an exit of the building.

A system for controlling LED lightbox power supplies, comprises the lightbox supplies disposed inside a lightbox and correspondingly connected with LED light bars one by one. All the lightbox power supplies are connected in series with one another via a 485 communication bus. Meanwhile, a wireless communication device connected in series with the lightbox power supplies is further mounted inside the lightbox. A gateway device for wirelessly connecting with the wireless communication device and uploading data acquired to a cloud server, is arranged outside the lightbox. A sensor set connected in a wired manner with the wireless communication device is arranged on an outer wall of the lightbox.

Systems and methods for commissioning a security system

Systems and methods are provided that can include displaying a floor plan on a graphical user interface, receiving a first user input identifying a respective location of each of a plurality of zones of the secured area via the floor plan displayed on the graphical user interface, receiving a second user input identifying a respective evacuation route to an emergency exit from each the plurality of zones via the floor plan displayed on the graphical user interface, identifying a respective distance factor from each of the plurality of zones to the emergency exit via the respective evacuation route, identifying a respective relative distance from each of the plurality of zones to a selected one of the plurality of zones, and multiplying the respective distance factor by the respective relative distance for each of the plurality of zones to identify a respective alarm sequence factor.

Systems and methods for automatically responding to a fire

Methods and systems for generating a response to detecting a fire on a property are provided. In certain aspects, a smart home controller (or other smart controller) may analyze data received from smart devices disposed on, within, or proximate to a property. If it is determined that a fire is present on the premises of the property, the smart home controller may determine a location of the fire as compared to the smart devices. The smart home controller may then generate and transmit instructions causing a portion of the smart devices to perform a set of actions to mitigate risks associated with the presence of the fire on the property. The smart home controller may also compare the location of the fire with a location of an occupant, and generate an escape route for the occupant. Insurance policies, premiums, or discounts may be adjusted based upon the fire response/mitigation functionality.
