Systems and methods described herein relate to identifying available parking spaces using connected vehicles. One embodiment performs one of (1) receiving, from a connected vehicle, vehicle position data and vehicle detection and tracking data including at least one bounding box transition event in which a bounding box associated with a particular detected parked vehicle crosses an image-frame boundary; and (2) receiving, from the connected vehicle, the vehicle position data and sensor data, performing object detection and tracking on the sensor data to generate the vehicle detection and tracking data, and detecting the at least one bounding box transition event; generates updated parking-space availability data by performing map matching to associate the vehicle position data and the at least one bounding box transition event with parking spaces in a parking map; and transmits the updated parking-space availability data to one or more participating connected vehicles.

The present disclosure relates to a parking elevator system that provides available pallet information by using vehicle information and a method to provide pallet information using the system. The parking elevator system may search a vehicle information database and/or a pallet information database. The vehicle information may be provided directly by a parking user or may be searched from the vehicle information database based on a vehicle number. The vehicle number may be recognized by an LPR device or can be provided directly by the parking user. The vehicle information may include the dimensions of a vehicle, whether the vehicle is an electric vehicle and the like, and the pallet information may include the dimensions of a vehicle that can be parked, a vehicle model, whether an electric vehicle charging facility is provided, parking fee and the like.

A chargeability presenting method which includes before start of transmitting first electric power to an electric vehicle, wirelessly supplying second electric power to a charging space, detecting whether heat is generated by a foreign object in the charging space after the second electric power is transmitted, and before start of transmitting the first electric power, presenting chargeability information that is generated based on vehicle presence information and foreign object information, the vehicle presence information indicating whether the charging space is vacant, and the foreign object information indicating whether the heat is detected in the charging space

A computer-implemented system and method for object tracking via identifier-tracker pairings is provided. At least one tracker-identifier pair is maintained. The tracker is associated with an entity, including a person or object. The identifier is accessed to locate the entity. The tracker associated with the identifier is identified and a location of the entity is determined based on a location of the tracker. The location of the entity is provided to the user.

An event vehicle dispatch device includes: an event notifier configured to notify a plurality of vehicles or owners of the vehicles of an event held in an area in which the plurality of vehicles are able to park; and an adjuster configured to adjust the number of vehicles corresponding to vehicle attributes of vehicles arriving at the area based on the vehicle attribute of each of the plurality of vehicles.

A parking assist apparatus is provided. The parking assist apparatus includes: a parking space recognizer that recognizes a plurality of parking spaces in which a vehicle parks; a parking space candidate calculator that calculates one or more parking space candidates from among the plurality of parking spaces based on an evaluation criterion of a driver and information indicating a route of a moving object around the vehicle; a display controller that displays the one or more parking spaces on a display; and a driving controller that controls driving of the vehicle toward a parking space candidate selected from among the one or more parking space candidates.

A method is provided for gathering probe data and using the gathered data to creating parking lot road link geometry. Methods may include: receiving probe data from a plurality of probes in and around a parking lot; identify a plurality of seed points, where the plurality of seed points are iteratively created from the probe data; generating one or more parking lot road links based on identification of compatible seed points; determining if one or more parking lot road links is within a predefined distance of an end of each of the one or more parking lot road links; forming a T-junction between a first parking lot road link and a second parking lot road link; generating a parking lot map including the one or more parking lot road links; and providing for guidance of a vehicle through the parking lot based on the generated parking lot map.

A system and method for creating a parking database and providing parking suggestions to the driver. The system and method includes receiving parking data from a plurality of vehicles in a fleet of vehicles, creating a parking database based upon the parking data, wherein the parking database comprises a plurality of curated parking locations determined by analyzing the parking data, generating a plurality of parking clusters based upon the parking database, wherein each of the plurality of parking clusters comprises a plurality of parking locations selected from the plurality of curated parking locations in the parking database, and identifying at least one of the plurality of parking clusters as a parking suggestion for a driver based upon a determined break location for the driver.
