SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MUSIC SCORE SIMPLIFICATION
A musical system may include one or more storage media, at least one processor, one or more sensors corresponding to keys of a musical instrument, and a display. The storage media may be configured to store a set of instructions for modifying a music score for a user based on a performance level of the user. The at least one processor may be configured to communicate with the one or more storage media. When executing the set of instructions, the processor is directed to determine a user performance level of a user and provide a modified music score for the user based on the user performance level. The sensors may be configured to sense a motion of at least one key of the keys and generate a key signal accordingly. The display may be configured to display the modified music score.
ENHANCED E-BOOK PROVIDING REAL-TIME FEEDBACK AND GUIDED CONTENT FOR MUSICAL INSTRUCTION
Presented herein are systems and methods for presenting content of an electronic book to provide real-time feedback to a user performing a musical piece, and to select content for subsequent presentation to the user based at least in part on an automated assessment of user performance of the musical piece.
FRAMEWORKS AND METHODOLOGIES CONFIGURED TO ENABLE REAL-TIME ADAPTIVE DELIVERY OF SKILLS TRAINING DATA BASED ON MONITORING OF USER PERFORMANCE VIA PERFORMANCE MONITORING HARDWARE
Described herein are to frameworks and methodologies configured to enable real-time adaptive delivery of skills training data based on monitoring of user performance data. Embodiments of the invention have been particularly to enable real-time control over a performance instruction user interface (for example in terms of rate), and/or control over delivery of media data (for example in terms of rate and/or pan/zoom position).
Performance Training Apparatus and Method
For each sound of a model performance, performance information designating a sound generation timing and sound and intensity information indicative of an intensity of the sound are supplied. In accordance with a progression of a performance time and for each sound of the model performance, the intensity information is acquired ahead of the sound generation timing, and the intensity of the sound is presented based on the acquired intensity information. The intensity of the sound is presented in a visual or audible manner. In this way, a human player who receives sound-intensity-related performance operation training can know, through a visual display and/or an audible sound, an intensity of each sound of the model performance before the sound generation timing of the sound. As a result, the human player can practice the performance while being aware of the intensity of each sound of the model performance.
Performance Training Apparatus and Method
For each sound of a model performance, performance information designating a sound generation timing and sound are supplied, and for each of a plurality of phrases into which the model performance is divided, intensity information indicative of an intensity of sound for the phrase is supplied. In accordance with a progression of a performance time and for each phrase of the model performance, the intensity information is acquired ahead of a start timing when a performance of the phrase is to be started, and the intensity of sound common to sounds in the phrase is presented based on the acquired intensity information. The intensity of the sound is presented in a visual or audible manner. In this way, a human player can know, through a visual display and/or an audible sound, an intensity of a key depression operation for each phrase of the model performance before starting the phrase. As a result, the human player can practice the performance while being aware of the intensity of sound for each phrase.
System and method for learning to play a musical instrument
A method and system for teaching oneself to learn to play a string instrument and master it by analyzing one's real-time hand/finger movement/technique/form, enabling oneself to progress and correct one's own mistakes simultaneously. In one aspect, a system for learning to play a string instrument is provided that includes a simulation instrument that includes a plurality of strings, wherein at least one of the strings includes at least one-touch sensing sensor thereon in communication with at least one processor to receive a signal from the at least one touch-sensing sensor and determine therefrom when and where on the at least one string a user applies pressure to the at least one string.
TEACHING VOCAL HARMONIES
Method of teaching a vocal harmony involves a computing device which automatically generates a plurality of audio presentations of a musical composition in a predetermined series. Each audio presentation in the series is different from the other audio presentations in the series and is configured to assist the user in progressively learning the selected vocal harmony part. Each of the plurality of audio presentations in the predetermined series is made different from others of the audio presentation in the predetermined series by selectively controlling (1) the particular ones of the plurality of vocal harmony parts that are included in each of the audio presentations, and/or (2) a magnitude of an audio volume that is applied to each of the plurality of vocal harmony parts that is included in each of the audio presentations.
System and method for developing sense of rhythm
The present invention provides a system for developing sense of rhythm. The system includes an interactive surface embedded with an RF antenna, a host, a memory unit, and a media player, an array of contact points on the interactive surface, a display device configured to export the comparison of the tempo and the beat input by a player with the preset tempo and the preset beat, and multiple physical sheets. The function of each contact point is determined or changed by the host in accordance with preset programs. Each physical sheet is embedded with an RFID tag and marked with a musical instrument and corresponding functional components, and the location of the functional components corresponds to the contact points in accordance with the preset programs. Once a physical sheet is placed on the interactive surface, the host is configured to assign a timbre of a musical instrument and the corresponding playing rules to the array of contact points in accordance with the preset programs and the RFID tag embedded in the physical sheet. The visible feedback would help players make corrections more efficiently.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING BIOMETRIC RELATED TO PERFORMANCE OF A PHYSICAL MOVEMENT
A biometric feedback system for providing biometric feedback to a subject while the subject performs a controlled physical movement includes an applied-force-recording interface and at least one controller electrically coupled to the applied-force-recording interface. The at least one controller receives applied force from the subject during the controlled physical movement and the applied-force-recording interface records data related to the applied force. The biometric feedback system also includes a dynamic surface electromyograph (sEMG) device that detects muscle tension along at least one muscle group of the subject while the subject performs the controlled physical movement and records data related to the muscle tension. A hub receives and processes data from the applied-force-recording interface and the dynamic sEMG device. A visual display displays the processed data from the hub.
MUSIC THEORY EDUCATIONAL TOY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A method for teaching music theory is provided. The method includes providing a set of blocks, each block of the set associated with a musical note. The arranging of the blocks in an allowed sequence forms a musical composition, where each of the blocks are keyed so as to only allow combinations that produce actual chords. A system for teaching music theory is also provided. The system includes a set of blocks, each block of the set associated with a musical note, where each of the blocks are keyed so as to only allow combinations that produce actual chords. The system further includes a base unit for placement of the set of blocks, where the base unit provides audio via a speaker and visual information on a display based on the arrangement of the set of blocks placed in a slot of the base unit.
