A method for controllable toggling viewing of written materials with adjuvant or explanatory notation material as a teaching or memorization tool. The method comprises the steps of imprinting adjuvant or explanatory notation materials adjacent to or in close conjunction with a visible text or notation, as a non visible or an invisible imprint. The non visible invisible adjuvant or explanatory notation material is made to become temporarily visible or viewable with a heat source or a viewing device for a controlled desired period of time by using the visible adjuvant or explanatory notation to perform a reading or writing function. Removing the viewing device or reducing heat renders the adjuvant or explanatory notation non visible or invisible.

Method for memorizing foreign words

The invention relates to methods for memorizing words in a foreign language. A method provides for the rendition of a foreign song and the synchronous presentation of textual subtitles on a display. The subtitles are produced on the display in the form of blocks placed one underneath another, each of which comprises a fragment of the text of the song and consists of three separate lines: a line containing the text of the song in the foreign language, a line containing the text of a translation into a native language, and a line containing the phonetic transcription of the words of the foreign song in the alphabetic characters of the native language, said line being the middle line in the block. The block is split into columns, each of which includes one word or phrase of the text fragment for the line containing the text of the song in the foreign language.

Game with visual cueing system and oral-aural learning routine

An audiovisual cueing system includes a visual game focusing on the fifteen vowel sounds of American English. Players take spoken turns corresponding with a sound-based word pattern determined by cards in play. Each card includes a color border, image, and featured word. The stressed vowel sounds in the color and object guide players to use the same sound in the underlined part of the featured word despite different spelling patterns. Players compare colors on cards in hand with a discard pile card, and if there is a match, the matched card is discarded and six corresponding words spoken in succession (e.g., blue moon soon, blue moon June). The act of speaking these words in succession provides a moment of learning and practice that benefits the player, while the game objective (winning) compels the learner to persist. The first player to discard all cards in hand is awarded points or wins.
