COOKING APPARATUS
Cooking apparatus configured as a grill-griddle having a body, a lid, a cooking grate, and a griddle are described. The grill-griddle may be arranged to have a combustion space within the body and an aperture in the cooking enclosure of the grill-griddle. The aperture may be on the side of the grill-griddle and allow one or more of the grill grate and the griddle to move in and out of the cooking enclosure. The grill-griddle configuration allows for the grill grate, the griddle, or both to move laterally through such transitions enabling enhanced control and flexibility in the cooking process.
MODULAR COOKING APPLIANCE
A modular cooking appliance for cooking a variety of foods has interchangeable tops and a base to receive the tops. The base has a burner that is fed from a fuel supply and controlled by a valve. The interchangeable tops mate to an open top. One of the interchangeable tops is a grill grate that fits in the open top. Another interchangeable top is a griddle with a flat cooking surface. The griddle mates to the open top and is kept spaced from the base to allow exhaust gases to escape. Another interchangeable top is a pizza oven with a stone portion and a dome portion. The stone portion directs exhaust gases from the burner into the dome portion.
COMBINATION GRATE AND GRIDDLE FOR A GAS COOKTOP
A combination grate and griddle for a cooking hob includes a base frame extending around a perimeter of the combination grate and griddle to define an open central area. At least one article supporting feature is connected with the base frame, extends at least partially into the open central area, and defines an upper supporting face. A griddle body is connected with the base frame and extends within the open central area around the at least one article supporting feature. The griddle body defines a cooking surface spaced apart from the upper supporting face of the at least one article supporting feature.
SYSTEM, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CONVECTIVE HEATING OF A GRIDDLE
Devices, systems, and methods for maintaining convection heat within a heating region of a griddle and channeling the convection heat therefrom. The griddle includes a ribbing structure along its underside surface in a configuration that cooperates with the burners of a cooking station. Such ribbing structure allows a user to control the convective heating of the griddle as desired and channels the convective heat to a single side of the griddle, away from the user.
GRIDDLE DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
Embodiments of a griddle system, device, and method configured to manage unwanted food byproducts. The griddle system includes a griddle having an upper side and an underside. The upper side includes a flat cooking surface and a splash guard, the flat cooking surface having a rectangular shape extending to a rear end, a front end, a left end and a right end. The splash guard extends along a periphery of the upper side of the griddle, the upper side including a trough. The trough extends laterally from the rear end of the cooking surface and extends longitudinally along a length of the rear end of the cooking surface such that the trough defines an elongated through hole therein.
Flame resistant cooking grate and cooking apparatus
A cooking apparatus and a cooking grate assembly therefor. The cooking grate assembly includes a food support grate which is positionable on a contoured emitter tray. The contoured emitter tray preferably has either a concave or a convex longitudinal shape. The food support grate is formed of a plurality of side-by-side food support ribs having bottoms which are shaped in a manner corresponding to the contoured shape of the emitter tray so that the bottoms of the ribs run longitudinally along the contoured upper surface of the emitter tray.
Combination griddle and teppanyaki cooking unit for a household cooking appliance
A combination griddle and teppanyaki cooking unit for a household cooking appliance or stand-alone cooking appliance is provided in which the combination griddle and teppanyaki cooking unit includes a cooking surface, a first heating unit for heating a first portion of the cooking surface, and a second heating unit for heating a second portion of the cooking surface, wherein the first heating unit and the second heating unit are selectively operable to uniformly heat an entire area of the cooking surface in a griddle mode of operation and to concentrate a greater amount of heat in a first area of the cooking surface than in a second area of the cooking surface in a teppanyaki mode of operation.
