OPTICAL MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The present invention is directed to an optical member including: a first layer that includes a first region having a refractive index n.sub.1 and a second region having a refractive index n.sub.3; and a second layer disposed on a first main surface of the first layer so as to be in contact with the first region and the second region, the second layer having a refractive index n.sub.2. The first layer includes a plurality of said second regions adjoining the first region along a planar direction of the first layer; the plurality of second regions constitute a geometric pattern; and n.sub.1 to n.sub.3 satisfy the relationship n1<n3<n2. When an optical member according to the present invention is integrated with a lightguide in use, excellent light extraction function is exhibited and leakage of light due to light scattering is suppressed, while attaining good mechanical strength at the same time.
OPTICAL DEVICE
A transparent optical device (100) is provided, comprising a lightguide medium (101) configured for light propagation, and an at least one optically functional layer (10) comprising at least one optically functional feature pattern (11) formed in a light-transmitting carrier medium (11 1) by a plurality of embedded features provided as optically functional internal cavities (12), wherein said at least one feature pattern (11) is configured to perform an incident light control function and at least a light outcoupling function, whereby stray light is minimized and optical transparency of the device (100) is established.
OPTICAL DEVICE
With a simple configuration, an optical device which realizes uniform light distribution and adequate display quality is provided. An optical device includes: a light guiding layer; a first optically functional layer provided on at least one of a first principal face and a second principal face of the light guiding layer; and a ray control structure, at an end of the light guiding layer on a light-incident side, being provided on a surface of the first optically functional layer that is on an opposite side to the light guiding layer. The ray control structure reduces light which is incident from an edge of the light guiding layer to the first optically functional layer at an angle smaller than a critical angle.
OPTICAL DEVICE
With a simple configuration, an optical device having an in-coupling function to a lightguide is provided. The optical device includes a light guiding layer; and in-coupling optics provided integrally with the light guiding layer to couple light from a light source to an incident edge of the light guiding layer. The in-coupling optics include an optical element that is convex toward the incident edge and an air cavity provided between the optical element and the incident edge.
DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING A BACKLIT IMAGE
Disclosed herein are frameless display devices comprising a glass sheet having a first surface, an opposing second surface, and a thickness between the first and second surfaces of less than about 3 mm; a transparent adhesive layer; and an assembly comprising a backlight unit and a back panel; wherein at least one of the first and second surfaces is patterned with an image; and wherein the transparent adhesive layer affixes the first surface of the glass sheet to a surface of the assembly. Also disclosed herein are display devices comprising a glass sheet having a first surface, an opposing second surface, a thickness between the first and second surfaces of less than about 3 mm, and a core having a plurality of light extraction features; a transparent adhesive layer; and an assembly comprising a back panel. Further disclosed herein are kits for making frameless display devices.
Device for displaying a backlit image
Disclosed herein are frameless display devices comprising a glass sheet (110) having a first surface, an opposing second surface, and a thickness between the first and second surfaces of less than 3 mm; a transparent adhesive layer (120); and an assembly comprising a backlight unit and a back panel (160); wherein at least one of the first and second surfaces is patterned with an image; and wherein the transparent adhesive layer (120) affixes the first surface of the glass sheet (110) to a surface of the assembly. Also disclosed herein are display devices comprising a glass sheet (110) having a first surface, an opposing second surface, a thickness between the first and second surfaces of less than about 3 mm, and a core having a plurality of light extraction features; a transparent adhesive layer (120); and an assembly comprising a back panel (160). Illuminable emblem
The invention relates to an illuminable emblem, in particular for a motor vehicle, which is simple and inexpensive to produce and which permits easy identifiability in darkness.
SIGNBOARD ASSEMBLY AND FULLY TRANSPARENT SOLAR LED LUMINOUS SIGNBOARD
The present disclosure discloses a signboard assembly and a fully transparent solar LED luminous signboard. The signboard assembly comprises: a U-shaped sealing ring, a patterned reflective film, a light-diffusing plate, a light-guiding plate, an LED light bar, a white reflective film, a back plate, a signboard bracket, and a control box. The full-transparent solar LED luminous signboard includes a solar power supply assembly and the signboard assembly as described above. The present invention adopts side light emitting principle, wherein light is guided through the light-guiding plate, is reflected by the reflective film, and is homogenized by the light-diffusing plate, so that the whole signboard is finally illuminated uniformly. The problem that the traffic sign is difficult to identify is solved.
Deformable mount for LED assembly
A multilayered illuminated laminate system including a light source positioned proximate to an edge of a light panel that includes a series of reflective paint in the shape of diamonds of increasing size is provided. The system further includes a diffuser sheet of sufficient opacity that it obscures the diamond pattern on the bottom surface of the light panel and a reinforced panel formed from fiberglass that bestows the system with scratch, abrasion, impact, and chemical resistance to meet or exceed current regulatory requirements. The light source is positioned within a clamp mount that contains the light panel, diffuser, and reinforced panel in frictional engagement without the need for an adhesive. A graphic can be positioned between the diffuser sheet and the reinforced panel to increase the aesthetic appearance of the system exterior surface, as well as moderate the intensity of the light it emits.
ILLUMINABLE EMBLEM
