Transmission method, reception method, transmitting device, and receiving device
A transmission method in the present disclosure includes; obtaining an image and image signal characteristics information indicating one of an opto-electrical transfer function (OETF) or an electro-optical transfer function (EOTF) as image signal characteristics of the image; and transmitting a signal including the image and the image signal characteristics information. According to the transmission method in the present disclosure, a receiving device that received a high dynamic range (HDR) image and a standard dynamic range (SDR) image transmitted through broadcasting or the like can display these images appropriately.
Virtual image display device
A virtual image display device includes a virtual image position selector, a vision measurement interface, a display information acquirer, a display image generator, and a projection processor. The virtual image position selector selects either a first virtual image position or a second virtual image position as a display position of the virtual image. The vision measurement interface measures a vision of a user based on a user's response to a vision measurement image projected as a virtual image at the display position. The display information acquirer acquires information to be shown. The display image generator generates a display image showing an image corresponding to the information acquired by the display information acquirer in a size determined by the vision acquired by the vision measurement interface. The projection processor performs a projection process of projecting the display image generated by the display image generator as a virtual image.
INTELLIGENT DISPLAY OF CONTENT
Systems and methods for intelligent display of content are disclosed herein. According to one illustrative method, a computing device camera captures an image of a face. The control circuitry determines, based on the captured image, whether at least a portion of the face is directed toward a computing device display. The control circuitry retrieves, from a memory, a rule specifying criteria for determining whether to block or permit presentation of content based on whether one or more faces are directed toward the display. The control circuitry determines, based on the rule and whether at least a portion of the face is directed toward the display, whether to block or permit the presentation of the content, and blocks or permits the presentation of the content via the computing device based on a result of the determining.
ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT HAVING DISPLAY DRIVING FUNCTION, TOUCH SENSING FUNCTION AND FINGERPRINT SENSING FUNCTION
An electronic circuit adapted to drive a display panel is provided. The display panel includes touch sensors and fingerprint sensors. The electronic circuit includes a touch sensing circuit, a fingerprint sensing circuit and a display driving circuit. The touch sensing circuit senses a touch of a finger and determines a first area corresponding to the touch on the display panel. The fingerprint sensing circuit senses a fingerprint image of the finger corresponding to the first area. The display driving circuit drives pixels of the first area with respective first gray levels and pixels of a second area outside the first area with respective second gray levels. The display driving circuit processes respective third gray levels to obtain the respective second gray levels. The display driving circuit generates gamma voltages corresponding to the respective first gray levels and the respective second gray levels according to the same gamma curve.
Information display method, terminal device, and storage medium
Disclosed are an information display method, a terminal device, and a readable storage medium. The information display method includes: obtaining an information type of each of a plurality of to-be-displayed information; in response to the information type comprising a target information type, obtaining a first refresh frequency of a target to-be-displayed information corresponding to the target information type, and determining a first display frequency of a display screen according to the first refresh frequency; and displaying the plurality of to-be-displayed information according to the first display frequency.

Methods, systems, and media for detecting a presentation of media content on a display device
Methods, systems, and media for detecting a presentation of media content on a display device are provided. In accordance with some implementations, methods for detecting a presentation of media content on a display device are provided, the methods comprising: detecting, using a light sensor, light levels in the light sensor's surroundings; generating a signal representing the light levels; detecting, using a hardware processor, at least one variation in light levels indicative of a presentation of a video scene based on the signal; detecting at least one variation in light levels indicative of a scene change subsequent to the video scene based on the signal; and determining that media content is being presented on a display device in response to detecting the variation in light levels indicative of the presentation of the video scene and the variation in light levels indicative of the scene change.
Control method for electronic ink screen, display control apparatus, and electronic ink display apparatus
A control method for an electronic ink screen includes: when colors of an image to be displayed include only a black color and a white color, outputting a first black driving signal, and outputting a first white driving signal; and when the colors of the image to be displayed include the black color, the white color and a chromatic color, outputting a second black driving signal, outputting a second white driving signal, and outputting a chromatic driving signal. A duration of the first black driving signal is equal to a duration of the first white driving signal. A duration of the second black driving signal, a duration of the second white driving signal and the duration of the chromatic driving signal are equal. The duration of the second white driving signal is greater than the duration of the first white drive signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GRAPHICS ADJUSTMENT BASED ON OUTPUT RESOLUTION
A graphics adjustment system detects the video resolution of digital video to be output by a receiving device and saves the graphics settings input by the user when the user adjusts the graphics settings on the receiving device such that the digital video being presented in the presentation device is not cut off due to overscanning. The system saves the graphics adjustment settings as the setting to use going forward for digital video of that same resolution for that particular presentation device. In this manner, the digital video output from the receiving device will not be cut off when presented on the presentation device, even when the receiving device is switching between receiving digital video programming of different resolutions from various program distributors and/or the content providers.
