DISPLAY DEVICES CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING THE DISPLAY COLOR GAMUT AND METHODS OF ADJUSTING THE COLOR GAMUT THEREOF

Display devices capable of adjusting the color gamut and methods of adjusting the color gamut thereof are disclosed. A method includes: obtaining a mapping table that comprises mapping relations between a plurality of application scenarios and a plurality of color gamut modes; obtain a current application scenario and the corresponding color gamut mode of the current application scenario from the mapping table, and adjusting the display screen to the corresponding color gamut mode of the current application scenario. Thus, the present disclosure can base on different application scenarios to automatically apply the corresponding color gamut modes, ensuring the user a plurality of color experiences and improving the experience effect of the users.

An on-board vehicle navigation system (NAV system) may provide a variety of information and may be integrated with a variety of on-board vehicle systems or features. The NAV system may have the display set to show information about a single system in a full screen mode or have the display divided to show information about multiple systems simultaneously (mixed display mode). The NAV system may allow the user to select an automatic switching from a mixed display mode to a full display mode upon the occurrence of predetermined system conditions. The full display mode may be temporary and automatically return back to the previous display mode or may require a user acknowledgement prior to returning back to the previous display mode. The switch to the full display mode allows more information to be communicated to the user.

Displays with Improved Color Accessibility

An electronic device may include a display and control circuitry that operates the display. The control circuitry may be configured to daltonize input images to produce daltonized output images that allow a user with color vision deficiency to see a range of detail that the user would otherwise miss. The daltonization algorithm that the control circuitry applies to input images may be specific to the type of color vision deficiency that the user has. The daltonization strength that the control circuitry applies to the image or portions of the image may vary based on image content. For example, natural images may be daltonized with a lower daltonization strength than web browsing content, which ensures that memory colors such as blue sky and green grass do not appear unnatural to the user while still allowing important details such as hyperlinks and highlighted text to be distinguishable.

Systems, methods, and displays are disclosed herein for multi-path graphics rendering. The aspects disclosed herein disclose a brute force learning technique to create a data set for correlating images to an optimal rendering technique. Other aspects disclosed herein disclosed employing the created data set for rendering and display the image data. Also provided herein are display devices configured and capable of employing the systems and methods disclosed herein.

User interface for a flashlight mode on an electronic device

An electronic device having a touch-screen display detects a first input on the display while displaying a first user interface on the display. In response to detecting the first input on the display, the device enters a flashlight mode. Entering the flashlight mode includes replacing the first user interface with a first flashlight user interface. The first flashlight user interface has a first total lumen output and a first luminance that is substantially uniform over the display. The device determines whether brightness change criteria are met, and in accordance with a determination that the brightness change criteria are met, displays a second flashlight user interface having a second total lumen output greater than the first total lumen output and a second luminance that is substantially uniform over the display.

An image processing apparatus includes an I/F, a synthesizer, and a color determinator. The I/F obtains a captured image, which is generated by imaging a subject in the vicinity of a vehicle. The synthesizer superimposes an indicator on the captured image. The color determinator, when color of the captured image is similar to a first color, changes color of the indicator from the first color.

Image processing device, image display device, and method of controlling image processing device for reducing and enlarging an image size

An image processing device adapted to perform image processing on image information input, and then output the image information includes a first image processing section adapted to perform image processing on the image information, and include a first storage section to store the image information, and a second image processing section adapted to perform image processing on the image information from the first image processing section, and include a second storage section to store the image information. The first image processing section performs a process of reducing an image size of the image information stored in the first storage section and raising a refresh rate, and the second image processing section performs a process of enlarging an image size of the image information stored in the second storage section.

DISPLAY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREFOR

A display device is provided. The display device includes: an image processor image-processing contents and scaling the contents at a first scaling magnification; a controller determining a second scaling magnification on the basis of a resolution of the contents scaled at the first scaling magnification and an output resolution of the display device; and a display scaling the contents scaled at the first scaling magnification depending on the second scaling magnification and displaying the contents scaled depending on the second scaling magnification.
