A device for playing a stringed musical instrument comprises (a) a handle-like member to be gripped by a hand of a user; and ((b) a plectrum holder of a mechanically connectable to the handle-like member. The plectrum holder is configured for releasably clamping a plectrum. The receptacle comprises a resilient receptacle having a cavity for receiving said plectrum therewithin configured for receiving and snugly fitting the plectrum. The holder is resiliently connected to said handle-like member.

The second component comprises flexible material providing at one end an upper portion for joining to the first component and at the other end a plectrum portion as a rounded point suitable for strumming. The pick is grasped by a player at the grasping portion of the first component. By angling the attack of the pick, the player may then employ either the plectrum of the first component for picking strings or the plectrum of the second component for strumming strings.

The guitar pick retrieval tool is a hand tool that is configured to retrieve a pick that has fallen into the sound hole of a guitar. The guitar pick retrieval tool comprises an adhesive tip, a flexible shaft, and a handle. The handle is attached to an end of the flexible shaft. The adhesive tip is attached to the end of the flexible shaft that is distal from the handle. The flexible shaft is a semi-rigid shaft. The flexible shaft does not behave in an elastic manner. The semi-rigid nature of the flexible shaft allows the shaft to be bent into an arbitrary but stationary position which will be maintained until the flexible shaft is subsequently manipulated. The pick includes a planar body having front and rear sides, a distal end having a curved tip for plucking the string, a proximal end for gripping by a user; and a plurality of raised formations provided on at least one of the front and rear sides of the planar body at the distal end, the raised formations being structured and arranged at the distal end to strike the string more than once when the distal end plucks the string.
