Acoustical musical devices
A drum includes a low volume drum head, a pellet chamber, and a magnetic choke. The pellet chamber is located beneath the low volume drum head. The pellet chamber is configured to hold a plurality of pellets, and the pellet chamber defines a plurality of apertures in a wall of the pellet chamber. The magnetic choke carries at least one magnet. The magnetic choke is configured to move relative to the pellet chamber so as to adjust a magnetic force imparted on the pellet chamber.

UNIVERSAL JOINT, COUPLING ROD APPRATUS, AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT PEDAL DEVICE
A universal joint includes two yokes respectively connected to two rotary members, a spider rotationally coupled to the two yokes, and a bearing disposed at a portion that couples the two yokes to the spider, the bearing rotationally supporting the spider. The spider is configured to be arranged in a space defined by inner surfaces of the two yokes and allow an outer ring of the bearing to be fixed to the spider.
Bass drum pedal compression mechanism
Disclosed herein is a drum mechanism comprising in one example: a first end configured to be attached to a foot pedal axle shaft; a second end configured to be attached to a foot pedal stationary frame; the foot pedal stationary frame configured to be positioned adjacent a drumhead such that rotation of a drum beater attached to the foot pedal will impact the drumhead when swung about a pivot of the foot pedal; the drum compression spring mechanism configured to bias the drum beater away from the drumhead; a shaft extending from the pedal axle shaft to a piston adjustably connected to the shaft; and a resilient member positioned between the piston and the spring housing when the foot pedal is actuated.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT OF PERCUSSION ACCESSORIES
A drum tuning key includes a body having a longitudinal axis, a first end and a second end, the first end including a keyed interface configured to releaseably engage an element of a tuning assembly of a drum for cooperative rotation therewith and the second end including a radially-extending portion configured to be manipulated by a user to apply a torque in relation to the longitudinal axis to operate the tuning assembly, and a magnet carried by the body and having a first end, a second end, and an axis of magnetization extending between the first end and the second end, wherein at least one of the first end or the second end of the magnet is located at or adjacent an outer surface of the body.
PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT STRAINER AND TUNING SYSTEM
A strainer system includes an adjustable slide assembly that can be used as a strainer side assembly or a butt side slide assembly for tensioning a snare that will not detune due to sympathetic vibrations. The strainer system may also be configured to easily control the amount of snare contact with the bearing edge on both the strainer side and the butt side of the shell body.
