Flexible shaker percussion instrument
A percussion instrument configured as a shaker that is struck or shaken to produce a rattle or shaking sound. The shaker is a flexible, multi-chambered idiophone that can be struck or shaken at any angle or shaped into any number of configurations in order to generate a wide variety of sound characteristics. Furthermore, the flexibility of the shaker enables the instrument to be secured to a multi-purpose mounting bracket, which can then be attached to commonly available stands and arms that are used to support and arrange drums and cymbals.
Drumhead Tuning Rim System and Method of Use
A drumhead tuning rim system and method for securing and tuning a drumhead on a drum shell of a drum, comprising a drumhead tuning rim apparatus comprising a cable tension dial assembly configured for operably engaging a rim of the drum so as to increase or decrease tension on the rim, the rim being configured for seating over the drumhead on the drum shell, and an apparatus controller configured for operably interfacing with the drumhead tuning rim apparatus so as to selectively control the cable tension dial assembly and thereby adjust the overall pitch of the drumhead as by adjusting the tension on the rim.
STRAINER DEVICE
A strainer device for a drum includes a fixing portion attachable to a shell of the drum, an operation portion, a movable portion moved with respect to the fixing portion to change a snare wire between an ON state and an OFF state, a pressing member, a cam portion including a cam surface, and a follower configured to be relatively displaced with respect to the cam portion between a first position and a second position in the cam portion while the pressing member is pressing against the cam surface. A direction of a force acting on the follower with respect to the cam portion is directed to: a side of the first position within the cam portion in a state where the follower is disposed in the first position, and a side of the second position in a state where the follower is disposed in the second position.

Percussion accessory adapted for attachment to a drum tension rod
Percussion accessories for reversible and interchangeable attachment to the head of a drum tension rod are disclosed.
DRUM
A drum, including: a shell; at least one head; and a vibration damping portion including at least one of (a) an outer-surface facing surface which is disposed in substantially parallel with and is closely opposed to an outer surface of an outer peripheral portion of the at least one head without contacting the outer surface and (b) an inner-surface facing surface which is disposed in substantially parallel with and is closely opposed to an inner surface of the outer peripheral portion of the at least one head without contacting the inner surface.
TONE-ENHANCING DRUM SHELL AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A drum having modified tone qualities is provided. The drum has a generally cylindrical inner shell positioned within a generally cylindrical outer shell. The inner shell has at least one sound-transmitting aperture defined therethrough so that the sound-transmitting aperture provides an unobstructed passageway for sound waves to pass through to reach the outer shell. In some aspects, an insert for modifying the tone qualities of a drum is provided. In some aspects, the outer shell has one or more inwardly extending protrusions co-located with and extending through the at least one sound transmitting aperture.
Snare Muffler
A device for use in combination with a musical snare drum for altering the sounds produced consisting of a means for affixing the device to the drum, such as a bracket assembly, mounted on the upper and lower rims of the drum, connected to the bracket assembly is a flexible banding which extends around the top, sides, and bottom of the drum and is attached in a manner that allows for ease of movement along the long axis of the banding so that it can be adjusted by sliding along said axis, a muffler component composed of a felt pad or other suitable material is affixed to the flexible banding and positioned on the bottom of the drum in a manner that provides for the muffler to be repositioned at varying degrees of contact with the snares by advancing or retracting the banding so as to alter the tonal output.
SNARE ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR SNARE DRUM
A snare adjustment device includes a snare protection frame having snares connected thereto, a holding body, a slider slidably connected to the holding body and moving the snare protection frame and the snares along with it, a switch member, and a manual lever. The switch member includes a latch section movable by a push section to engage with or disengage from the slider, such that the slider is stopped from or allowed to move, respectively. The manual lever is pivotally connected to the holding body and can be swung up and down for moving the slider. The manual lever includes a lever section, which and the push section of the switch member are protruded beyond a reference side of the holding body. Therefore, a drum player can hit the push and the lever section with a drum stick to quickly switch the snares between a tightened and a loosened state.
