Food processing apparatus and a method of operating the same

There is provided an apparatus (10) for processing food stuff. The apparatus (10) comprises a container (110) for receiving a food stuff; a food processing unit (120) for processing the food stuff in the container; a force sensor (130) for measuring an operation parameter, and a control unit (140) for operating the food processing unit (120) based on measurements received from the sensor. The sensor is furthermore configured to measure an interaction with the apparatus by a user. The control unit is configured to receive measurements of the user interaction from the sensor (130) and process the received measurements to determine if a predetermined user interaction or a predetermined user interaction pattern corresponding to a user input command has been performed by the user.

A shape of the cover plate matches an inner wall of the feed body and the cover plate is provided with a feed inlet, and the cover plate is rotatably provided on the inner wall of the feed body. The accommodating cavity with a large capacity is provided on a top surface of the cover plate, and has a sectional area greater than an area of the feed inlet, and is formed by an enclosure plate that surrounds the feed inlet. Upon inversion of the cover plate assembly, an opening of the accommodating cavity with a large capacity can be made to face the feed channel, and fruits and vegetables contained in the accommodating cavity with a large capacity are put in the feed channel. The feed inlet of the feed body is provided on the invertible cover plate assembly, so that not only diced fruits and vegetables are conveyed to the juice extractor, but also fruits and vegetables with large shapes fall into the feed channel by reverting the cover plate assembly without being diced. The juice extractor has a simple structure and can be conveniently used, so as to improve use safety.

A control method and control system for an agitating mechanism are provided. The control method includes receiving a load current detected by a current detecting apparatus when the agitating mechanism is rotating along a specific direction; determining whether the rotation of the agitating mechanism meets a preset trigger condition based on the load current; and controlling the agitating mechanism to rotate in a direction opposite from the specific direction when the trigger condition is met. The present invention can reduce the possibility of the electrical components of the agitating mechanism being burnt out and prolong the lifespan of the agitating mechanism. The present invention can improve agitation results of the agitating mechanism. At low speed, the agitating mechanism can perform the agitation gently without damaging the texture of the solid food. At high speed, the agitating mechanism can more homogeneously and finely agitate the mushy food with enhanced agitating efficiency.

A variable temperature blender has a lid assembly, a vessel assembly, and a base assembly. The vessel assembly has a blending vessel and a collar attached to a bottom portion of the blending vessel. The base assembly have a user interface, a motor, and a controller. A heating element positioned within the collar of the vessel assembly received an electronic signal from the controller via an electrical interface connecting the base assembly with the vessel assembly. The electronic signal activates or deactivates the heating element based on an operational mode of the variable temperature blender to heat a food item contained within the blending vessel.
