SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE FOR A WEARABLE ULTRASOUND BLOOD FLOW SENSOR

An example of a system for providing patient care guidance to a caregiver based on ultrasound detection of blood flow includes a defibrillator including an electrode assembly and an output device, a portable computing device communicatively coupled to the defibrillator and including an output device, a Doppler shift waveform evaluation engine disposed at the defibrillator and/or the portable computing device, and a wearable ultrasound blood flow sensor configured to couple to a patient and the defibrillator and/or the portable computing device and to generate data signals representing a Doppler shift waveform. The engine is configured to receive the data signals representing the waveform, generate caregiver instructions according to a cardiac arrest protocol, analyze the waveform based on the received data signals, identify heart-induced blood flow based on the waveform analysis, and generate and provide caregiver instructions according to a non-cardiac arrest protocol based on the identified heart-induced blood flow.

DEVICE AGNOSTIC SLEEP STAGING

The invention provides systems and methods that stage sleep in patients using wearable devices regardless of the brand or features of the wearable device. Data collected from wearable devices are assigned a sleep stage regardless of manufacture or mode of operation. Methods provide precise and accurate sleep stage information to physicians via an online portal of the system, offering patients suffering from poor sleep opportunities for better medical outcomes. Methods include preprocessing data for a subject from a first sensor on a first wearable device; based on a type of the wearable device into standardized data and analyzing the standardized to identify sleep stages. Second data from a second wearable device with different formats or different content is also preprocessed a format matching that of the standardized data.

Instrumented Medicine Dispenser

The present invention is directed to an instrumented medication dispenser with real-time vital sign monitoring in order to assist patients in managing their medicine intake. It provides various benefits such as assisting patients in maintaining the correct dosing of their medicines, but most important is the ability to monitor the patient's vital signs and provide real time updates to a doctor. It therefore assists patients in the event that a health issue arises, especially in instances where the health issue is related to medicine intake, and providing information and support to health care providers.

WEARABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING INFORMATION OF BRUSHING TEETH IN WEARABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

According to an embodiment, a wearable electronic device may include a motion sensor, an audio sensor, a display, a memory, and a processor electrically connected to the motion sensor, the audio sensor, and the memory. The processor may be configured to obtain motion sensing information via the motion sensor, obtain an audio signal corresponding to the motion sensing information via the audio sensor, identify a tooth-brushing hand motion type corresponding to the motion sensing information, identify an audio signal pattern corresponding to the tooth-brushing hand motion type, and identify, based on the tooth-brushing hand motion type and the audio signal pattern, a tooth-brushing hand motion. Other embodiments may also be possible.

DISPLAY FOR PUMP

This document discusses, among other things, an apparatus comprising a pump configured to deliver insulin, a processor, and a user interface including a bistable display. A display element of the bistable display is placed in one of two stable orientations upon application of a biasing voltage and stays in the stable orientation when the biasing voltage is removed. The processor includes a display module configured to display a non-blank reversion display screen on the bistable display when no input is received at the user interface after a specified time duration, and to recurrently change the reversion display screen until input is received at the user interface.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAXIMUM INSULIN PUMP BOLUS OVERRIDE
20230047136 · 2023-02-16 ·

An ambulatory infusion pump can include a maximum bolus override procedure. When a bolus amount greater than a maximum bolus amount is requested, the pump can provide an alert indicating that the amount requested exceeds the maximum bolus amount. If the user confirms the request in response to the alert, the bolus amount can be delivered to the user. The amount delivered in response to the confirmation can be a first portion of the bolus amount. A reminder can then be provided that a second portion of the bolus amount that is a remaining portion of the requested bolus amount was also requested. If a second confirmation is received in response to the alert, the second portion of the bolus amount can also delivered to the user.

A device, system and related methods to provide assessment and treatment of amblyaudia through standardized methods that do not require advanced training or a booth with loudspeakers for the operator to administer. The ARIA stimuli protocols for both assessment and treatment, encoded in or to be used by a software program or application, are transferred to a stand-alone set of specialized noise-cancelling headphones attached or connected to, wired or wirelessly, a software platform on an electronic computing device. or integrated with the headphones. The program administers assessment tests to individuals through the noise-cancelling earphones. The device enables someone with minimal instructions to administer automatically or semi-automatically both assessment and treatment protocols, generate results, make interpretations, store data, and produce reports. The device or system may be loaded with standard protocols for English-speaking individuals, as well as dichotic speech material in any language.
