The method comprises keeping the boarding door closed until both a first condition and a second condition are satisfied and opening the boarding door or enabling the boarding door to be opened in response to both the first condition and the second condition being satisfied. Here, the first condition is that the passenger is in the vicinity of the boarding door. The second condition is that the trunk door is closed or that a reservation of the trunk room is cancelled.

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating a display of a navigation map. The system may comprise a historical data source device having, for example, a historical data source computer and a database storing historical data associated with one or more of vehicle accident data, traffic data, vehicle volume data, vehicle density data, road characteristic data, or weather data. The system may comprise a map data processing device having a map data processing computer and memory storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the map data processing computer, cause the map data processing device to, for example, determine, based on a location determining device, a location of a vehicle. The map data processing system may determine one or more historical factors based on the location of the vehicle. The map data processing system may receive, from the historical data source device and for the location, historical data associated with the one or more historical factors. Based on the location of the vehicle, one or more real time factors and real time data associated with the one or more real time factors may be calculated. The map data processing system may calculate, using the one or more historical factors and the one or more real time factors, a navigation score for each segment of a route from the location to a destination location. The map data processing system may determine one or more colors for each navigation score and/or generate a display of a navigation map comprising the one or more colors.

The autonomous-switching directions can inform the operator regarding changes to the vehicle's mode of autonomous operation. The on-board computing system can generate the set of autonomy-switching directions based on the vehicle's route and other information associated with the route, such as autonomous operation permissions (AOPs) for route segments that comprise the route. The on-board computing device can selectively present the autonomy-switching directions based on locations associated with anticipated changes in autonomous operations determined for the route of the vehicle, the vehicle's location, and the vehicle's speed. In addition, the on-board computing device is further configured to present audio alerts associated with the autonomy-switching directions to the operator of the vehicle.

The approach also involves processing the shared vehicle data to determine mobility insight data. The mobility insight data includes a shared vehicle usage pattern, a shared vehicle availability pattern, or a combination thereof under one or more contexts for travel to or from the POI. The approach further involves presenting the mobility insight data in a location-based user interface.
