A method of measuring airflow from an HVAC outlet vent using a volume fill airflow measurement device having a LIDAR or Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging sensor to detect a filled state of a volume capture element or bag, comprising placing a frame having the bag sealably attached thereto over the vent to be measured, starting a timer, stopping the timer automatically in response to the LIDAR or Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging sensor measuring the distance to be within a predetermined range, and calculating the measured airflow based on the volume of the bag and the time for the airflow to fill the bag. The measured airflow is then displayed on the device display.

Center device receives and analyzes flow rate data from gas meter, and monitors states of use of gas appliances. Gas meter detects the start of operation of gas appliances, and transmits flow rate data during predetermined periods before and after the start of operation in accordance with a request from center device. Center device monitors the states of use of gas appliances based on the received flow rate data.

Said flow speed detection circuit is coupled to a first transducer and a second transducer that are external to the flow speed detection circuit, wherein the flow speed detection circuit includes: a transmitter, configured to provide a front signal and a main signal to the first transducer, wherein the first transducer transforms the front signal and the main signal into a transduced signal to the second transducer, the second transducer transforms the transduced signal into a receiving front signal and a receiving main signal to a receiver; and the receiver includes: a front signal detection circuit, configured to enable the main signal processing circuit after the receiving front signal; and the main signal processing circuit, configured to determine the flow speed based on the receiving main signal after being enabled.

An automated method for detecting and/or monitoring a state of a degasser of an analyzer is provided, the degasser including a container configured to be evacuated. The method includes obtaining a time series of values indicative of pressures inside the container. The time series spans a period during which the container is evacuated or pressurized. The method further includes determining a liquid level state of the degasser which is determined by an amount of liquid present in the container based on the time series.

A gas meter according to the present invention includes flow rate measuring part that measures a flow rate of gas flowing through flow passage, shutoff valve that shuts off flow passage, wireless communicator that periodically performs wireless communication externally, and communication interval setting part that sets a communication interval in wireless communication. Communication interval setting part sets the communication interval according to the flow rate of gas measured by flow rate measuring part. By changing a setting of the communication interval according to the flow rate measured by flow rate measuring part, it is possible to enhance a responsiveness required according to the flow rate of gas measured by flow rate measuring part while a minimum necessary communication frequency is maintained. Accordingly, the power saving can be achieved and also convenience can be maintained.

A magnetic turntable in an electromechanical conversion device is reasonably segment and motion information of each segment is recorded and analyzed.
