Provided is a method for displaying an image including: acquiring a to-be-displayed image; correcting the to-be-displayed image based on a target look-up table, wherein in the target look-up table, at least one of the original pixel values and a corresponding corrected pixel value satisfy: an absolute value of a difference between a first chroma and a second chroma is less than or equal to a chroma difference threshold, wherein the first chroma is a chroma of a first pixel, a pixel value of the first pixel being acquired by converting the original pixel value, and the second chroma is a chroma of a second pixel displayed by the display device, a pixel value of the second pixel being acquired by converting the corrected pixel value; and displaying a corrected to-be-displayed image.
Measuring light using a digital pen
Apparatuses, methods, systems, and program products are disclosed for measuring light using a digital pen. An apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. In one embodiment, the processor determines whether a digital pen that is configured to communicate with an information handling device is in a docked position. The processor receives a light measurement sensed by the digital pen and performs an adjustment to an output parameter of a display for the information handling device in response to receiving the light measurement. A method, system, and computer program product may perform the functions of the apparatus.
Quantifying Performance of a Display Device
In an example method, one or more processing devices receive encoded image data, and cause visual content to be presented on a display device according to the encoded image data. Further, the one or more processing devices receive measurement data regarding the visual content presented on the display device, and determine, based on the measurement data, one or more first perceptual quantizer (PQ) codes corresponding to the visual content presented on the display device. Further, the one or more processing devices determine, based on the encoded image data, one or more second PQ codes, and determine one or more metrics indicative of a performance characteristic the display device based on the first PQ codes and the second PQ codes. The one or more processing devices store a data item including the one or more metrics.
Color-calibration system and color-calibration method of display panel
A color-calibration system is provided, which includes a host, a reference display apparatus, and a display apparatus. The host calculates peak-intensity change rates relative to different gain values for blue, green, and red colors using a first spectrum and second spectrum of a first display panel of the reference display apparatus respectively in a first display mode and a second display mode. The host calculates peak-intensity ratios for blue, green, and red colors using the first spectrum and a third spectrum of the first display panel in a predetermined color-temperature display mode. The host calculates blue/green/red gains of a second display panel of the display apparatus using a fourth spectrum of the second display panel in the first display mode, the peak-intensity change rates, and peak-intensity ratios, so that the first display panel and the second display panel display a consistent color in the same predetermined color-temperature display mode.
