Various embodiments disclosed relate to an optical window including an infrared light transmissive optical material. The optical material includes a first ceramic phase including a first ceramic material and a first dopant distributed therein. The optical material further includes a second ceramic phase homogenously intermixed with the first ceramic phase and comprising a second ceramic material and a second dopant distributed therein. The first dopant increases the refractive index of the first ceramic material and the second dopant decreases the refractive index of the second ceramic material. The first dopant and the second dopant are present in an amount such that a difference in a refractive index of the first ceramic phase and of the second ceramic phase is in a range of from about 0.001 to about 0.2.

A temperature monitoring system includes an access port configured to mount to an inspection window of a process heater that includes heating tubulars mounted in an inner volume of the process heater, the access port including at least one visual access portion configured to provide visual access to at least a portion of the heating tubulars; a flange assembly including a bore that extends from a first side configured to mount to the access port to a second side; and a thermal imaging system configured to mount to the second side of the flange assembly, the thermal imaging system including at least one thermal image capture device including a field of view through the bore of the flange of assembly and the at least one visual access portion and into the inner volume of the process heater to capture at least one image of radiation emitted from the heating tubulars.

DETECTION SENSOR AND DETECTION DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

A detection sensor according to an aspect of the invention includes a vibratable film constituted by a piezoelectric film, a case accommodating the vibratable film, and a circuit board. The vibratable film is configured to be irradiated with infrared rays and thereby generate first electric signals through a pyroelectric effect, and configured to be vibrated by sound waves and thereby generate second electric signals through a piezoelectric effect. The case includes a transmissive part. The transmissive part is configured to transmit at least infrared rays and disposed on one side in a first direction relative to the vibratable film to face the vibratable film. The first direction is a thickness direction of the vibratable film. The circuit board is fixed to the case and disposed on the other side in the first direction relative to the vibratable film. The circuit board has a sound hole to input therethrough sound waves.

Public safety official accessories having an infrared thermometer

Public safety official accessories, such as remote speaker microphones and body cameras, can include an infrared thermometer for enabling public safety officials to detect whether individuals have fevers. Temperature readings obtained using the public safety official accessories can be output to a display of a radio or of the public safety official accessory. By integrating an infrared thermometer into a public safety official accessory, the public safety official can discreetly determine whether an individual has a fever.
