A dishwasher appliance includes a pump assembly for circulating wash fluid within a wash chamber and discharging wash fluid from a drain basin. The pump assembly includes a wash pump impeller coupled to a drive shaft and a drain pump impeller coupled to the drive shaft using a clutch, such as a centrifugal clutch. At speeds below a predetermined speed threshold, the clutch remains disengaged such that only the wash pump impeller rotates. When the speed of the drive shaft exceeds the predetermined speed threshold, the clutch engages causing the drain pump impeller to rotate and discharge wash fluid from the drain basin.

A dishwasher may include a sump configured to store water, a main arm disposed at the sump and configured to supply water from the sump, an auxiliary arm rotatably disposed at the main arm and configured to spray water, and an auxiliary arm connection member disposed at the main arm and configured to rotatably support the auxiliary arm, where the auxiliary arm may include an auxiliary flow passage configured to allow water flow through the auxiliary arm, where the main arm may include a transfer flow passage in fluid communication with the auxiliary flow passage, where the auxiliary arm connection member may include a flow tube disposed at the main arm in fluid communication with the transfer flow passage and the auxiliary flow passage.

A dishwasher may include a sump configured to store water, a main arm disposed at the sump and configured to supply water from the sump, an auxiliary arm rotatably disposed at the main arm and configured to spray water, and an auxiliary arm connection member disposed at the main arm and configured to rotatably support the auxiliary arm, where the auxiliary arm may include an auxiliary flow passage configured to allow water flow through the auxiliary arm, where the main arm may include a transfer flow passage in fluid communication with the auxiliary flow passage, where the auxiliary arm connection member may include a flow tube disposed at the main arm in fluid communication with the transfer flow passage and the auxiliary flow passage.

A spray device assembly for a dishwasher appliance is provided including an outer tube and an inner tube. The outer tube extends along an axial direction and defines an outer tube orifice extending along a length of the outer tube. The inner tube also extends along the axial direction and is rotatably positioned at least partially within an opening of the outer tube. Moreover, the inner tube defines an inner tube orifice extending along a length of the inner tube. The outer tube orifice and inner tube orifice together define a nozzle where the outer tube orifice and the inner tube orifice overlap, the nozzle configured to move along the outer tube orifice as the inner tube and the outer tube are rotated relative to one another.

A spray device assembly for a dishwasher appliance is provided including an outer tube and an inner tube. The outer tube extends along an axial direction and defines an outer tube orifice extending along a length of the outer tube. The inner tube also extends along the axial direction and is rotatably positioned at least partially within an opening of the outer tube. Moreover, the inner tube defines an inner tube orifice extending along a length of the inner tube. The outer tube orifice and inner tube orifice together define a nozzle where the outer tube orifice and the inner tube orifice overlap, the nozzle configured to move along the outer tube orifice as the inner tube and the outer tube are rotated relative to one another.

A dishwasher, dishwasher sprayer, and method of spraying utilize a tubular spray element with multiple selectable spray patterns that can be used during a wash cycle. In some instances, multiple selectable spray patterns may be supported through the use of a multi-walled tubular spray element having concentric wall sections that are movable relative to one another to selectively activate one or more apertures and thereby modify a spray pattern emitted by the tubular spray element. In other instances, multiple selectable spray patterns may be supported through the use of a multi-chamber tubular spray element in which different sets of apertures are in fluid communication with different chambers in the tubular spray element and flow is selectively controlled to one or more of the chambers.

The treating chamber can fluidly couple to condenser having an inlet, an outlet, and a condensing passage. The condenser can further comprise multiple ambient air inlets to mix humid air drawn from the treating chamber with ambient air within the condenser. The condenser can further integrate a water inlet with a condenser outlet, such that a water supply and condensed liquid can be provided to the treating chamber through the same opening.
