The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes and the cooking utensils by spraying washing water and steam. The dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a tub which accommodates a washing object, a sump which is disposed in a bottom of the tub and stores washing water, a spray arm which sprays the washing water into the tub, a washing pump which sends the washing water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a check valve which is disposed between the sump and the washing pump and opened in a direction of the washing pump from the sump.

Dishwasher and controlling method thereof

A dishwasher includes a tub that accommodates dishes; a nozzle assembly that sprays washing water; a vane assembly that is moved between a first position and a second position of an inside of the tub and changes a progression path of the washing water so that the sprayed washing water can be directed toward the dishes; and a controller that moves the vane assembly to the second position if the vane assembly is disposed at the first position. When a linear washing portion washes a small quantity of dishes by spraying washing water while making a reciprocal motion in part of an inside of a washing chamber, a washing time can be reduced, and concentrated washing can also be performed.

DISHWASHER, METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISHWASHER, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT

A dishwasher includes a dishwasher interior for washing items to be washed with washing liquor. Arranged at a lower end of the dishwasher interior is a pump sump for collecting the washing liquor, and a sensor is arranged in the pump sump for outputting a sensor signal as a function of a presence of washing liquor at the sensor. A control apparatus configured to carry out a washing program selected from a number of washing programs is designed to determine a malfunction of a component of a hydraulic assembly as a function of the sensor signal and of a current operating state of the dishwasher.

Disclosed is a dishwasher ejecting wash water containing microbubbles. The dishwasher according to an embodiment includes a tub accommodating dishes therein, a plurality of wash arms spraying wash water into the tub, a bubble nozzle ejecting wash water containing microbubbles to the bottom of the tub, a sump disposed below the bottom of the tub and collecting wash water therein, a wash pump pumping wash water collected in the sump, a channel-switching unit supplying wash water pumped by the wash pump to at least one of the plurality of wash arms, and a bubble module generating microbubbles in wash water pumped by the wash pump and supplying the wash water containing microbubbles to the bubble nozzle, and a controller operates the wash pump and controls the channel-switching unit and the bubble module to spray wash water through at least one of the plurality of wash arms and simultaneously to eject wash water through the bubble nozzle.

Semi-automatic ware washing sprayer system

A control box for a sprayer system is provided. The control box may include a wash flow path, a wash flow solenoid disposed in the wash flow path, a detergent supply assembly disposed in wash flow path, a rinse flow path, a rinse flow solenoid disposed in the rinse flow path, a common flow path, a flow switch disposed in the common flow path, an alternating relay, and a connection valve leading to a discharge flow path. The flow switch may be configured to provide a signal to the alternating relay. The alternating relay may be configured to control both the wash flow solenoid and the rinse flow solenoid. The connection valve may receive both the wash flow path and the rinse flow path. In another embodiment, a sprayer system including a control box and a sprayer unit is provided.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING A FILL CYCLE IN A DISHWASHER APPLIANCE

A dishwasher appliance includes a sump that defines a transition fill level where the cross sectional area of the sump increases. A pressure sensor is operably coupled to the sump for monitoring sump pressure and wash fluid level. A controller opens a water supply valve to provide a flow of water into the sump and monitors the sump pressure using the pressure sensor. The controller determines when the water has reached the transition fill level corresponding to a known transition fill volume. The controller determines a fill flow rate based on the amount of time needed to reach the transition fill volume and uses the fill flow rate to determine a remaining fill time needed to reach a target volume.

Dishwashing appliance clogged drain line prevention

A dishwashing appliance includes a tub defining a wash chamber therein for receipt of articles for washing, a heating element, a sump positioned at a bottom of the wash chamber for receiving fluid from the wash chamber, a drain pump in communication with the sump, and a temperature sensor. Methods of operating the dishwashing appliance may include filling the sump with a liquid and heating the liquid by activating the heating element. Such methods also may include measuring a temperature of a liquid in the sump with the temperature sensor and comparing the measured temperature of the liquid to a minimum drain temperature threshold. Such methods may include draining the liquid from the sump after the measured temperature is equal to or greater than the minimum drain temperature threshold, such as immediately after heating the liquid.

Dishwasher

The dishwasher of the present invention includes: a tub in which a dish washing space is formed; a sump which contains washing water supplied into the tub; a spray module which sprays washing water toward dishes; a pump which supplies the washing water stored in the sump to the spray module; an air jet generator which receives a part of the washing water discharged from the pump to form an air bubble in the washing water; and a discharge module which discharges the washing water containing the air bubble discharged from the air jet generator to a side surface of the tub.
