The present disclosure enables apparatus and methods for tracking medications and/or product units via smart-packaging concepts. Embodiments include sensors that monitor the state of a blister-card package having an unpatterned lidding film by measuring the impedance of each dispensing region of the lidding film that defines a portion of a blister. In some embodiments, the impedance is measured via a plurality of contact points arranged on opposite sides of each dispensing region, where the contact points are resistively or capacitively coupled with the lidding film. In some embodiments, the impedance map of a measurement region on the blister card is derived via electrical impedance tomography or electrical resistance tomography, where the measurement region includes a plurality of dispensing regions.

Methods for performing formation evaluation and related systems

Embodiments of an invention disclosed herein relate to methods for performing formation evaluation of a formation or formation's surrounding to identify and characterize the abundance and morphology of non-ionic conductor grains, “c-grains”, within the formations that are evaluated by formation evaluation (FE) tools. The methods and related systems as disclosed herein are directed to correcting any existing FE logs that can be adversely affected by the presence of c-grains in the detection volume of FE tools, and/or obtaining new FE information that is unavailable by the application of existing FE methods.

The present invention belongs to the field of bioanalysis and detection, specifically, a synthetic macrocyclic molecular nanopore structure and preparation method and application. The invention discloses an artificially synthesized macrocyclic compound to form a stable single-molecule nanopore structure on phospholipid bilayer; the nanopore structure is a transmembrane nanopore structure with nano-sized channels formed by the artificially synthesized macrocyclic compound inserted into the phospholipid bilayer membrane in electrolyte solution; the artificially synthesized macrocyclic compound solves the transmembrane nanopore cavity size and pore thickness by using the bottom up synthesis, which yields thinner pore thickness and higher freedom control of the cavity pore size compared with the traditional biological nanopores constructed by proteins.

A METHOD FOR MEASURING THE CROSS-LINKING DEGREE OF A COMPONENT OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL

A method for measuring a degree of cross-linking of a component of elastomeric material obtained as a result of a hot-forming process, includes a preliminary calibration step in which a plurality of samples are provided, made of the same material as the component. The samples have different degrees of cross-linking following respective hot-forming processes conducted for different periods of time. The preliminary calibration step includes providing a measuring device having an electrical circuit, in which a voltage generator is arranged in series with metal contacts configured to selectively receive a sample, and an ammeter, positioning a sample between said metal contacts, providing a predetermined voltage value, and detecting the corresponding current value by means of said ammeter. The aforesaid steps are repeated for each sample so as to obtain a calibration map that associates a given degree of cross-linking of the material constituting said component with each determined value of electrical conductivity.
