A dishwasher is disclosed. When the dishwasher performs a drying process, the dishwasher increases a temperature of a washing space before air inside the washing space is discharged, thereby maintaining the temperature of the washing space at an appropriate drying temperature and increasing efficiency of the drying process.

The present invention relates to a monitoring system for a door (12) of a domestic appliance (10). The monitoring system comprises at least one door sensor (22; 24, 26, 28; 30, 32) arrangeable or arranged at or within the door (12). The door sensor (22; 24, 26, 28; 30, 32) is an inertial measurement unit (IMU) including at least one accelerometer and/or at least one gyroscope. The accelerometer can be provided for detecting a linear acceleration of the door sensor (22; 24, 26, 28; 30, 32). The gyroscope can be provided for detecting a rotational speed of the door sensor (22; 24, 26, 28; 30, 32). The monitoring system determines at least one of the angle (α,α′), the angular speed and the angular acceleration of the door (12).

A laundry appliance includes a cabinet. A door is coupled to the cabinet. The door is operable between an opened position and a closed position. An audio interface is disposed on the door. The audio interface includes a microphone for receiving a voice command and a speaker for projecting an audio output. A visual interface is disposed on the door. The visual interface is configured to display a message in response to at least one of the voice command and the audio output. A microcontroller is disposed on the door. The microcontroller is operably coupled to the audio interface and the visual interface. A proximity sensor is configured to communicate sensed information to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is configured to activate at least one of the audio interface and the visual interface in response to the sensed information.

A shelf for an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The shelf may include an intermediate wheel shelf. The intermediate wheel shelf may include a biasing member. The intermediate wheel shelf may be pivotable between one or more positions. The intermediate wheel shelf may form a substantially continuous wheel shelf configuration with one or more wheel shelves.

A dishwasher includes: a washing container having a washing compartment and a loading opening for loading items to be washed; a washing compartment door by which the loading opening is closeable in a fluid-tight manner; and a camera unit for visually sensing the washing compartment. The camera unit is integrated into a dispenser provided by the washing compartment door.

A dishwasher system for cleaning dishes may include a dishwasher tub configured to house dishes therein and run a dishwasher cycle, a door assembly configured to selectively seal the dishwasher tub, the door assembly including an inlet nozzle arranged on the inside of the door assembly, the inlet nozzle extending across the width of the door at the top of the door assembly to receive hot and moist air post wash from the dishwasher tub, and a duct fluidly connected to the inlet nozzle and configured to transfer the air through the door assembly and out an outlet nozzle during a drying phase of the dishwasher cycle prior to the door assembly being opened post-cycle.

A dish treating appliance includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an access opening. A door is movable relative to the tub between closed and opened positions to selectively close and open the access opening. The dish treating appliance further includes an air supply circuit. The air supply circuit includes an air inlet and an air outlet with an opening that faces an upper portion of the access opening. An air channel fluidly couples the air outlet to the air inlet.

A rack for an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. Deployment of the rack may allow the user to become aware of the presence of the rack within the dish washing appliance.
