The spray arm may define one or more orifices to direct wash fluid to the wash chamber. The fluid pump may be in fluid communication with the spray arm to motivate wash fluid thereto. The electric motor may be mounted apart from the fluid pump in mechanical communication with the spray arm to direct a spray position thereof. The wireless power receiver may be in electrical communication with the electric motor. The wireless power transmitter may be spaced apart from the fluid pump in operable communication with the wireless power receiver to transmit an electromagnetic field thereto.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCE HAVING A WIRELESSLY POWERED PUMP ASSEMBLY
A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a fluid pump, and a wireless power transmitter. The tub may define a wash chamber within the cabinet. The fluid pump may be in fluid communication with the tub for motivating a flow of wash fluid from the tub when activated. The fluid pump may include a fluid impeller rotatably positioned in fluid communication with the wash chamber, and an electric motor in mechanical communication with the fluid impeller to motivate rotation thereof. The wireless power receiver may be in electrical communication with the electric motor. The wireless power transmitter may be spaced apart from the wireless power receiver in operable communication with the wireless power receiver to transmit an electromagnetic field thereto.
Household appliance
A household appliance is disclosed that may perform a useful cycle of operation on an item. The household appliance may include a treating chamber for accommodating the item during the performance of the useful cycle, and a body enclosing the treating chamber. The body may include a front side, an underside, a first delimiting surface and a second delimiting surface, wherein the first and second delimiting surfaces forms a recess between the underside and the front side. The first delimiting surface may be essentially parallel to the underside of the body. The household appliance may further include a communication module configured to wirelessly transmit and/or receive data. The communication module may be arranged at the first delimiting surface.
Domestic appliance and one-piece modular housing therefor
A modular housing is provided. The modular housing includes a compartment body, a compartment door, a tube mount, a flat mount, and a screw hole. The compartment body defines a compartment volume for holding circuitry therein. The compartment body includes a bottom section and a set of side sections. The set of side sections includes a first side section, a second side section, and a third side section. The tube mount includes a tube mount comprising a snap curved to accept a circular tube, the tube mount extending from the first side section. The flat mount includes a snap configured to accept to a flat rail, the flat mount extending from the third side section. The screw extension defines a screw hole to accept a screw, the screw extension extending from the second side section in the set of side sections.
Domestic appliance having at least one plug for an electrical connection
A connector for electrical contacting that includes a body configured to mechanically retain at least one electrically conductive contact, which is accessible on an exit side of the body for electrically contacting at least one other electrical contact. The body is constructed from at least two different components, with a first component of the at least two different components at least substantially forming the exit side and being made from a fire-retardant plastic, and a second component of the at least two different components having an ignition point which is lower than an ignition point of the first component of the at least two components, and the second component of the at least two different components having an elasticity which is greater than an elasticity of the first component of the at least two different components.
Status indicator and lighting assembly for an appliance door
A door assembly for an appliance includes an inner door, an outer door, and a lighting assembly positioned therebetween for illuminating a status indicator mounted on the outer door. The lighting assembly may include a mounting flange and a spring-loaded lighting board that engages an alignment feature mounted on the outer door when the door assembly is assembled, thereby aligning the light sources on the lighting board with the status indicator.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCES AND SENSOR ASSEMBLIES FOR DETECTING A POSITION OF AN APPLIANCE DOOR
A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a door, and a sensor assembly. The cabinet may extend along a lateral direction between a first side and a second side. The cabinet may define a wash chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The door may extend along a vertical direction between a top end and a bottom end. The door may be rotatably mounted to the cabinet to move along a rotation path between an opened position and a closed position. The sensor assembly may be attached to the cabinet to detect a positional angle of the door. The sensor assembly may include a wave emission sensor directed at the rotation path to project an emitted wave and a wave reception sensor spaced apart from the wave emission sensor to receive a reflection of the emitted wave.
SYSTEMS FOR PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTAL CONTROL INPUTS IN APPLIANCES
