Method for displaying concentration data of a substance and an associated apparatus
A method for displaying gas concentration values on a graphical display of a leak detector comprises detecting a presence of a gas using a gas sensor. A signal is generated by the gas sensor and transmitted from the gas sensor to a processor. The received signal is processed to determine a gas concentration value and a corresponding time stamp. The gas concentration values and corresponding time stamps are displayed graphically as they are determined and newly determined gas concentration values and corresponding time stamps are displayed in relation to previously determined gas concentration values and time stamps in streaming manner.
Methods and system for operating an oxygen sensor
Systems and methods for operating an internal combustion engine that includes an oxygen sensor are described. In one example, a voltage that is applied to a heating element of an oxygen sensor is integrated to determine a resistance of the heating element. The resistance of the heating element is the basis for adjusting voltage applied to the heating element during subsequent engine starts.

BREATH ALCOHOL CONTENT DEVICE SECURITY AND SENSING
Electrochemical sensors commonly used in breath alcohol testing devices detect a concentration of alcohol in a sample of fluid. The sample of fluid is introduced into the electrochemical sensor and a current is generated by the oxidation of the alcohol within the fluid. The electrical output from the electrochemical sensor, plotted over time, forms an output curve, which may be used to estimate the concentration of alcohol in the fluid sample. The technology disclosed herein includes various methods for determining the quantity of an electrochemically convertible substance in a fluid sample using a breath alcohol content device, including detecting water saturation level of the fluid sample. The disclosed technology involves measuring electrochemical sensor outputs to quantify alcohol content of the fluid sample.
