Dish drying system with adsorbent material regeneration
A dishwasher includes a housing having walls defining a tub having an outlet for humid air to flow out from the tub, an inlet for dry air to flow into the tub, and a door for closing the tub to an exterior environment, and a drying system contacting at least one wall of the tub. The drying system includes an inlet conduit fluidly connected to the outlet and an outlet conduit fluidly connected to the inlet with the inlet conduit and the outlet conduit forming an inverted V-shaped air circuit defining an airflow path therethrough. The drying system also includes at least one adsorbent component having an adsorbent material positioned along the airflow path, and at least one gate check valve blocking airflow from the tub to the adsorbent material during a wash cycle. The adsorbent material is regenerated via heat transfer through the at least one wall from the tub during a wash cycle when the gate check valve is closed.
DISHWASHING APPLIANCE HAVING AN AIR-DRYING DEHUMIDIFICATION ASSEMBLY
A dishwashing appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a pump, a spray assembly, a fluid recirculation duct, a cold water loop, a heat exchanger, and a tub fan. The fluid recirculation duct may extend from a path inlet to a path outlet to recirculate air within a wash chamber. The cold water loop may define a cold water nozzle disposed within the fluid recirculation duct to provide a condensing, cold-water flow into the fluid recirculation duct between the path inlet and the path outlet. The heat exchanger may be mounted to the cold water loop outside of the fluid recirculation duct to cool water within the cold water loop. The tub fan may be configured to selectively motivate an airflow from the path inlet to the path outlet.
DISHWASHER WITH AT LEAST ONE AIR OUTLET
A dishwasher includes a dishwasher cavity for treatment of items to be washed, and an air outlet for blowing out air from the dishwasher cavity. The air outlet is arranged in a lower quarter of a height of the dishwasher and extends as a slotted outlet over at least two thirds of a width of the dishwasher. A connection located on a rear face of the air outlet introduces humid air into the air outlet and is designed to supply the introduced air to an air distributor for separating the supplied air into differently oriented sub-flows.
Domestic dishwasher and method for treating items to be washed
A household dishwasher includes a dishwasher cavity defining a treatment chamber, a loading unit accommodated in the treatment chamber for holding items to be washed, a washing apparatus configured to apply washing liquid to the treatment chamber, and a fan wheel mounted in the treatment chamber above the loading unit for rotation in a blow-off operating phase such that the fan wheel draws in air from the treatment chamber, accelerates and moves the air forward and downward as an air flow in the treatment chamber. The air flow strikes a blow-off region at a top of the loading unit and blowing off washing liquid from atop the items being washed.
Method and apparatus for sensing dryness according to air quality
A dishwasher includes a tub defining a wash chamber, a wash rack provided within the wash chamber, an air inlet in fluid communication with the wash chamber at a first position, an air exhaust outlet in fluid communication with the wash chamber at a second position different from the first position, a first gas sensor provided in the dishwasher, and a controller configured to initiate an operation sequence. The operation sequence includes initiating a drying cycle, receiving an air-quality signal from the first gas sensor, measuring, during the drying cycle, an air-quality characteristic within the wash chamber of the dishwasher, determining the measured air-quality characteristic is below a predetermined air-quality threshold, calculating a drying time in response to determining the measured air-quality characteristic is below the predetermined air-quality threshold, and halting the drying cycle in response to an expiration of the drying time.
Dishwasher comprising at least one fan impeller in the dishwashing compartment
A dishwasher, in particular household dishwasher, includes a dishwasher cavity for receiving an item to be washed, a rotatable fan wheel arranged in the dishwasher cavity and configured to draw in air and to blow out the air, and a motor operably connected to the fan wheel and operating at a rotational speed which is variable over time.
Dishwashing appliances having a hot plate heater for drying
A dishwashing appliance, as provided herein, may include a cabinet, a tub, a hot plate heater, a fan, and a conduit. The tub may be disposed within the cabinet and define a wash chamber. The hot plate heater may be in thermal communication with the tub. The hot plate heater may include a conductive body and a resistive heating element. The conductive body may have a chamber surface disposed within the wash chamber and an internal surface directed away from the wash chamber. The resistive heating element may be mounted outside of the wash chamber in thermal communication with the conductive body. The fan may be held within the cabinet outside of the wash chamber to motivate an airflow across the resistive heating element. The conduit may lead from an inlet disposed outside of the wash chamber to an outlet defined through the tub downstream from the fan.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher includes: a cabinet defining an external appearance of the dishwasher; a tub disposed in the cabinet to form a space where to wash dishes, and having an exhaust hole formed on an upper surface of the tub; and an external air flow unit forming a flow path, along which external air is introduced and discharged, and having an inflow hole formed above the exhaust hole to communicate with the tub, wherein the external air flow unit takes a shape in which a cross-sectional area of the flow path decreases in an upstream side of the inflow hole in a flow direction of the external air and increases in a downstream side of the inflow hole.
Dishwasher
A dishwasher includes: a cabinet defining an external appearance of the dishwasher; a tub disposed in the cabinet to form a space where to wash dishes; a heat exchange module disposed between the tub and the cabinet to form a space in which external air flows, and configured to supply the external air to the tub; and a condensing module disposed between the heat exchange module and the cabinet and configured to perform heat exchange of air discharged from the tub with the external air flowing in the heat exchange module and discharge heat-exchanged air to an outside of the cabinet.
DISH TREATING APPLIANCE WITH AN AIR SUPPLY CIRCUIT
A dish treating appliance includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber with an access opening. A door is movable relative to the tub between closed and opened positions to selectively close and open the access opening. The dish treating appliance further includes an air supply circuit. The air supply circuit includes an air inlet and an air outlet facing an upper portion of the access opening. An air channel fluidly couples the air outlet to the air inlet.
