Friction control and captive sealant for pressed windows
An improved method of sealing a window into an aperture in a body uses a lubricant comprising polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particles suspended in a volatile, low viscosity, low surface tension carrier fluid. The carrier fluid is applied to one or both of the sidewalls of the window and aperture, and the window is pressed into the aperture such that the carrier fluid evaporates, leaving the PTFE particles to fill interstitial surface voids, while enabling the sidewall of the window to make intimate mechanical contact with the sidewall of the aperture. While having broader application, the present disclosure finds particular utility in optical characterization techniques based upon the Raman effect and fluorescence probes used in process monitoring and control.
Optical measurement cell, optical analyzer, and manufacturing method for optical measurement cell
An optical measurement cell including first and second translucent members, which sandwich an internal space storing test liquid, are configured so that light incident on the first translucent member passes through the internal space and is emitted from the second translucent member. The cell includes a first holding member that holds down the circumference of a light transmission area on an outward surface of the first translucent member; a second holding member that holds down the circumference of a light transmission area on an outward surface of the second translucent member; and seal members that are respectively interposed between the first translucent and holding members and between the second translucent and holding members. In addition, areas excluding parts of surfaces of the respective translucent members are coated with coated films, and the end parts of the coated films are positioned on light transmission area sides of the seal members.
Gas analysis
An apparatus may have a first reflector and a second reflector positioned on either side of a sample volume for a gas sample. The configuration of the first reflector may be variable between at least first and second configurations, wherein each of the first and second configurations is arranged such that a beam of optical radiation from an optical beam origin is directed to a detector location via the sample volume. In the second configuration the beam of optical radiation is reflected at least once from each of the first and second reflectors and the path length of the beam of optical radiation through the sample volume is greater than in the first configuration.

A biometric system is disclosed. The biometric system comprises: a measurement cartridge; and a meter, equipped with the measurement cartridge, for measuring an analyte present in a sample of the measurement cartridge. The measurement cartridge comprises a reagent container, a capillary module, and a reagent rod. The reagent container receives a liquid reagent and has a top sealed with a sealing film. The capillary module comprises a capillary tube which is located on an upper side of the reagent container and collects the sample by a capillary phenomenon, and the capillary tube is introduced into the reagent container by rupturing a contact portion to the sealing film by an applied pressure. The reagent rod comprises a plurality of dry reagent accommodating portions which are located on an upper side of the reagent container and accommodate a drying reagent, and the reagent rod is introduced into the reagent container by rupturing a contact portion to the sealing film by an applied pressure.
SENSING DEVICE WITH A SEALING STRUCTURE
A sensing device with a sealing structure for measuring fluid characteristics by a photoelectric method is disclosed. The sensing device includes an electrode head having an outer side which contacts a fluid to be measured and one or more windows arranged in respective window openings which extend between an inner and an outer face of a wall of the electrode head. At least two sealing structures seal the one or more windows and the respective window openings. A first of the at least two sealing structures is bonded, welded, or provides an interference fit. The sensing device can be used to seal the product in high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environment, so that the product has high air tightness and is stable and reliable for a long time. In addition, the sealing structure of the product is easy to clean.
INSPECTION SYSTEM
There is an inspection system including multiple inspection units configured to inspect substrates, wherein each of the inspection units includes: a tester configured to inspect a substrate; a moving part configured to hold and move the substrate relative to the tester; and a frame structure configured to accommodate the tester and the moving part, wherein the frame structure of one inspection unit includes: a first frame to be connected to a frame structure of another inspection unit; and a second frame that accommodates at least the moving part and is configured to move relative to the first frame to extract the moving part from the first frame.
