This invention relates to a washable floor mat comprising a reinforcement layer. The floor mat includes a textile component and a base component. The textile component contains a reinforcement layer which dramatically reduces and/or eliminates edge deformation that often occurs as a result of the washing process. The textile component and the base component may be joined together to form a single piece floor mat. Alternatively, the textile component and the base component may be releasably attachable to one another by at least one surface attraction means to form a multi-component floor mat. The floor mat is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways.

Disclosed is a field-tailored prefabricated dust suction mat that absorbs and removes dust from the soles of visitor's shoes. A dust suction mat according to the present disclosure includes unit mats continuously connected to each other in a first direction, wherein each of the unit mats has a plurality of through holes for dust suction and through hole opening/closing means for opening or closing the through holes, the unit mats have lengths in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, which are equal to each other, and widths in the first direction, which are equal to or different from each other, and an overall width of the dust suction mat in the first direction is adjusted according to the number of the unit mats, which are continuously connected to each other in the first direction. According to the present disclosure, dust suction mats can be custom-made on site in various sizes, depending on site conditions such as surrounding environment or spatial situation of an installation site, or consumers' requirements, and even when dust suction mats are manufactured in the form of ready-made products in a factory, it is possible to quickly respond to site conditions or customers' demands for size change without extensive equipment replacement or change.

Doormat assembly comprising a base including a central area and a peripheral area surrounding the central area, and having an upper surface and an opposing lower surface, a frame assembly overlapping with at least a portion of the upper surface of the peripheral area of the base and forming a frame with a central opening for exposing the central area of the base, and a removable insert sized to fit within the central opening of the frame assembly and to cover the central area of the base, wherein the frame assembly is formed separately from the base and the frame assembly comprises different materials from the base, and wherein the removable insert is removable through the central opening in the frame and replaceable.

A disinfecting floor mat having a disinfecting wet station (or wet side) onto which a user may step and wet the bottoms of his/her shoes with a disinfecting and/or cleaning solution are described. The wet section can comprise a shallow pool over which an elastomeric cover is provided that has small holes. slits or other openings distributed thereon permitting the solution to flow therethrough when the cover is stepped upon to make contact with the shallow pool bottom. A reservoir of cleaning solution can be provided that is in fluid communication with the shallow pool to help ensure it remains full. Optionally, the floor mat can further include a drying section (or dry side) located next to the wet section to permit a user to substantially dry the bottoms of his/her shoes after disinfecting the shoe bottoms in the wet section.

A sanitizing floor mat is fashioned as a traditionally configured flexible floor mat having a plurality of apertures in an upper section. The upper section is attached to a lower section via a hinged section. An antibacterial insert is provided and is configured to be removably secured within mat in the space between the upper section and lower section and in environmental communication with the plurality of apertures.

A floor mat includes a bottom layer and a top layer; the bottom layer being composed of a water tight material; and the top layer being composed of an absorbent, antibacterial material; the top layer is removably secured to the bottom layer and is disposable.

Disclosed herein are devices, designs, and methods of using a device for sanitizing feet, shoes, or other surfaces in contact with the floor. The apparatus is capable of detecting the presence of a user and automatically spraying the feet of a user with a sanitizing fluid. Fluid is expelled through an elevated grate, which allows the user to stand on an elevated grate and have their feet sanitized without exposing their feet to a dirty pool of liquid.
