System and method for monitoring fluid deficit
A fluid management and medical device system may include a fluid management system and a medical device having one or more sensors proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft of the medical device. The controller of the fluid management system may be configured to calculate a fluid deficit when the distal end of the elongate shaft is disposed within a patient and configured to automatically pause fluid deficit calculation when the distal end of the elongate shaft is removed from the patient. In some instances the controller is configured to calculate the fluid deficit using rotational speed of the inflow pump in combination with a difference between a change in weight of a fluid supply source supplying fluid to the fluid management system and a change in weight of a collection container collecting fluid from the fluid management system.
MEDICAL SYSTEM AND MEDICAL SYSTEM OPERATING METHOD
A medical system and an operating method of a medical system are disclosed. The medical system includes: an endoscope; a controller that can operate the endoscope and generate a display image from a captured image; and a display for displaying the display image. The controller can record a model of an organ of concern generated in a preoperative plan, extract feature points in the model, extract a distance between each feature point and a reference position set in the model before surgery, extract corresponding points in the display image, and associate a first coordinate system of the model with a second coordinate system of a display space, based on the feature and corresponding points, to set a path for the endoscope to move such that a region of interest in the organ of concern corresponding to the reference position is displayed in the display image.
ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope includes an insertion portion, an operation portion, a knob protruding from the operation portion to a first side in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction, a universal cord protruding to a second side in the direction, and a power unit provided in a housing portion disposed on the operation portion on the second side so as not to stick out to the first side with respect to a center axis.
ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS, PROCESSING STATE SWITCHING METHOD, NETWORK APPARATUS AND MEDICAL SYSTEM
An endoscope apparatus includes a connection interface to which an endoscope is connected, a communication interface that transmits/receives signals to/from an external apparatus, a computation device that determines whether or not the endoscope is connected to the connection interface, switches a processing state of the endoscope apparatus from an inspection state to a non-inspection state or from a non-inspection state to an inspection state, and performs control to switch the processing state from the inspection state to the non-inspection state upon acquiring an instruction signal for instructing switching of the processing state from the inspection state to the non-inspection state from the external apparatus via the communication interface, when it is determined that the endoscope is not connected to the connection interface.
SURGICAL HUB SPATIAL AWARENESS TO DETERMINE DEVICES IN OPERATING THEATER
A surgical hub is disclosed. The surgical hub includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to receive first image data from a first image sensor, the first image data represents a first field of view, receive second image data from a second image sensor, wherein the second image data represents a second field of view, and display, on a display coupled to the processor, a first image rendered from the first image data corresponding to the first field of view and a second image rendered from the second image data corresponding to the second field of view.
PRELIMINARY CLEANING MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND PRELIMINARY CLEANING MANAGEMENT METHOD
A memory stores identification information on a subject related to preliminary cleaning acquired by an ID acquirer a non-contact manner. A registration processing unit determines whether or not to register preliminary cleaning execution information in a server apparatus based on the identification information stored in the memory. The registration processing unit determines, when identification information on an endoscope and identification information on a cleaning operator are stored in the memory, to register preliminary cleaning execution information including the identification information on the endoscope and the identification information on the cleaning operator.
