A vent assembly configured to maintain predetermined positive and negative pressure differentials between gas within a compartment and the environment, such as a compartment defining an interior of an endoscope is provided. The vent assembly includes a first housing having an upper vent and a lower vent coupled to the compartment. A piston is movable from a closed position to a first position, and from the closed position to a second position. In the closed position the piston blocks the upper and lower vents. A positive pressure differential moves the piston so as to open the vent to allow gas to escape from the compartment. A negative pressure differential draws the piston from the closed position to a second position to allow gas to enter the compartment.

Disposable suction valve for an endoscope

A disposable suction valve is provided. In some embodiments, the disposable suction valve may include a stem providing an air passage through the stem, a spring, a spring stanchion cup, and a boot. A method for manufacturing a disposable suction valve may include several steps. A stem and spring stanchion cup are molded, and a bottom end of the stem is placed through the center of a spring. The bottom end of the stem is placed through a stem opening in the spring stanchion cup, and the tabs or the spring stanchion cup are placed into recessed apertures of the stem. The boot may be over-molded on the spring stanchion cup or molded and placed onto the spring stanchion cup.

Protective sheath, hysteroscope equipped therewith, and nephroscope equipped with same

The present invention provides a protective sheath, a hysteroscope equipped therewith, and a nephroscope equipped with the same, used to prevent contaminants from contaminating electrical connecting lines connected to the endoscope. The protective sheath includes an inner sheath (1) and an outer sheath (2), which are sleeved together, the outer sheath (2) has a cylindrical structure, the inner sheath (1) includes a straight cylindrical portion and a bell mouth portion, the bell mouth portion is located on an insertion end side of the inner sheath (1), a side wall of the bell mouth portion is provided with a plurality of grooves extending from the bell mouth portion to the straight cylindrical portion, and a plurality of elastic sheets (12) are formed at the insertion end of the inner sheath (1); a connecting portion cooperating with a self-locking quick connector (7) is formed on the inner wall of each elastic sheet (12); and a hollow cavity is disposed between the inner sheath (1) and the outer sheath (2), and a compressed waterproof jacket (3) is disposed in the hollow cavity, one end of the waterproof jacket (3) is fixedly sheathed on the inner sheath (1), and the other end of the waterproof jacket (3) can be pulled through a non-insertion end of the protective sheath. The protective sheath is lightweight, compact, and easy to operate. The protective sheath effectively protects the electrical connecting lines from being contaminated during use, thereby preventing short circuit, contamination and other situations, furthermore, the protective sheath is low in production cost and can be used as a disposable medical device.

Medical cleaning valve

A medical valve may comprise a valve stem and an operation portion. The operation portion may include a stationary portion, a movable portion which is movable relative to the stationary portion and fixed relative to the valve stem, a seal disposed between the stationary portion and the movable portion, and a biasing member. Movement of the movable portion in a first direction may cause deformation of the biasing member, such that a restorative force of the biasing member urges movement of the movable portion in a second direction opposite the first direction. A frictional force between the seal and one of the stationary portion and the movable portion resists the movement of the movable portion in the second direction.

MEDICAL DEVICE HAVING A VALVE FOR AUTOCLAVABILITY

A medical device with a valve for autoclavability is disclosed. The medical device may include a cavity. A channel connects the cavity to an autoclave environment. The channel has a distal end and proximal end. The distal end of the channel may open to the autoclave environment and the proximal end may open to the cavity. A valve may be positioned in or near the channel. The valve may permit gas to flow from the cavity when a pressure inside the cavity is greater than a pressure in the autoclave environment outside the cavity. The valve may also prevent gas from flowing into the cavity when the pressure in the autoclave environment outside the cavity is greater than the pressure inside the cavity.

Endoscope

An endoscope (1) having a suction channel and a suction connector in communication with said suction channel, and a working channel through which a liquid may pass. A valve for diverting the suction through the sampling device through a sample container is provided. The endoscope (1) further includes an actuator (7) for propelling the liquid through said working channel.
