The subject matter discloses a multi-sensor endoscope having a dynamic field of view comprising an elongated shaft terminating with a tip section; a maneuvering section connected to the elongated shaft; at least two sensors, wherein at least one sensor is placed behind the tip section, on the maneuvering section; and one or more illuminators located on external surface of the shaft. In some cases, the sensors include a camera. The subject matter also discloses a multi-sensor endoscopy system comprising an endoscope comprising a handle and a controller, such that the maneuvering section is controlled by the controller.

OPTICAL INSTRUMENT AND ARTICULATING IMAGE SENSING APPARATUS THEREFOR
20170325671 · 2017-11-16 · ·

An imaging apparatus is adapted for use in an optical instrument having an elongated shaft with a transparent distal end portion. The imaging apparatus includes and image sensor assembly, a first articulating structure, and a second articulating structure mounted on the first articulating structure. First and second lateral side support structures at the lateral sides of the image sensor assembly are each mounted on the second articulating structure so as to position the image sensor assembly in an operating position in the instrument transparent end portion. The connection to the second articulating structure allows an articulation of the image sensor assembly about a lateral articulation axis extending transverse to the longitudinal axis of the shaft distal end portion. This lateral articulation is in addition to the ability of the first articulating structure to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the shaft distal end portion.

TIP FOR A SINGLE USE ENDOSCOPE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A SINGLE USE DUODENOSCOPE

A tip for a single use endoscope, the endoscope and a method of producing the tip. The tip includes a housing encapsulating a light emitting device and an imaging device in a fluid tight manner, where the light emitting device is arranged on a planar printed circuit board provided within the housing, and the housing at least in part is made from a transparent material and comprises at least one transparent light guiding part or light guiding section for guiding light emitted by the light emitting device to an outside of the tip.

EXTERNAL SLEEVE PROVIDING ADDITIONAL WORKING CHANNEL

A sheath system configured to be operatively engaged with a delivery device with a working channel through which a medical instrument is passed. The sheath system thus increases the number of working channels of the flexible tubular system to permit more than one medical instrument to be navigated to and used at a treatment site. The sheath system has a low profile during delivery, yet may be shifted into a configuration facilitating passage of medical instruments therethrough.

The disclosed technology is directed to an endoscopic apparatus comprises an endoscope having a cable connected to an electronic circuit part of the endoscope. The cable includes an elongated covering and an elongated component configured to be concentrically engaged with the elongated covering. A securing member is used to bind and to secure the elongated covering and the elongated component to one another. The elongated covering includes at least one recess formed on an outer circumferential area of the elongated covering on which the securing member binds and secures the elongated covering. The securing member has a portion that sinks in the at least one recess and secures the elongated covering and the elongated component that is exposed through the at least one recess.

Sinus illumination lightwire device

An illuminating wire medical device may include an elongate flexible housing and an illuminating fiber and a core wire extending through at least part of the housing, the core wire providing desired pushability and torquability. The illuminating device may further include a connector assembly cooperating with the illuminating fiber to accommodate changes in length and to absorb forces applied during use of the device.

Adhesive composition and endoscope device

An adhesive composition comprising a main agent including at least one epoxy resin selected from a bisphenol A epoxy resin, a bisphenol F epoxy resin, and a phenol novolac epoxy resin, and an acrylic rubber; a curing agent including xylylene diamine; and a filler including silica. The adhesive composition further comprises an ion exchanger.

Compact Multi-Viewing Element Endoscope System

The present specification is directed towards endoscopes, such as colonoscopes, that provide a broader field of view and allow extended access of surgical tools and also enable efficient packing of all necessary elements in the tip section, while maintaining their functionality. Also described are methods and systems for capturing and displaying still and video images using an endoscope corresponding to a left-side looking, a front-looking and a right-side looking viewing element of an endoscopic tip generated in a native aspect ratio.

A tip of an endoscopic insertion section includes a tip body having a forceps hole, and a cap covering the distal face of the tip body and having an opening corresponding to the forceps hole. Protrusions are provided between the distal face of the tip body and the opposite face of the cap that is opposite to the distal face, so that a specified space is formed between the distal face and the opposite face with the protrusions. In the space, at least a region around the forceps hole is filled with an adhesive so as to adhere the tip body and the tip cap together with no voids in the adhesive surrounding the forceps hole and thereby prevent disadvantages due to the entrance of a body fluid or a chemical cleaning solution through such voids.
