An optical transmission module includes an optical element, an optical fiber, a holding section to which the optical fiber is bonded and fixed, and a wiring board including a first principal plane on which the optical element is mounted and a second principal plane on which the holding section is bonded and a connection pad connected to the optical element is disposed, and through which light passes. An adhesive tape is inserted between the holding section and the wiring board. The reinforcing resin does not protrude to an outside of the detachment sheet on the second principal plane of the wiring board.

MULTIPLE IMAGING MODALITY LIGHT SOURCE

A light source includes a first LED to provide light of a first light wavelength spectrum along a first light path; a second LED to provide light of a second light wavelength spectrum along a second light path; a dichroic filter for passing light emitted from at least one of the first LED and the second LED and reflecting light emitted from at least one of the first LED and the second LED; an optical filter movable between a first position in which the optical filter receives light from the first light path and a second position of which the optical filter does not receive light from the first light path; a light output; a controller which is capable of switching the light source between a first mode for providing a first light to the light output and a second mode for providing a second light to the light output.

Optical connector and medical device

An optical connector for coupling to a counter-connector mechanically and optically, a portion of an optical transmission line transmitting an optical signal being disposed in the optical connector, includes: a first outer case through which the optical transmission line is inserted and that covers an incidence end or an emitting end of an optical signal through the optical transmission line; a cover plate that is permeable to an optical signal and seals a tip end side coupled to the counter-connector in the first outer case; and a coating film made of amorphous carbon that is disposed on a surface on the tip end side of the cover plate.

CONNECTOR

An ultrasound probe includes: an acoustic matching layer having a sheet-shaped member whose both ends are bonded together by adhesive to define a cylindrical shape and configured to adjust acoustic impedance of ultrasound; piezoelectric elements arranged along a circumferential direction on an inner periphery of the acoustic matching layer and configured to emit ultrasound in response to an input signal and configured to convert ultrasound from outside into an echo signal; a disc-shaped structural member provided on one end side of the acoustic matching layer in a longitudinal direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction, a part of an outer side surface of the structural member being fixed inside the acoustic matching layer. The structural member has a water repellent portion on a part of the outer side surface such that the water repellent portion faces, in a radial direction, a gap between the both ends of the acoustic matching layer.

Endoscope coupler

An endoscope coupler with a split focus ring having direct engagement between the focus ring and the lens cell. The endoscope coupler may also have a changeable lens cartridge which can be replaced when moisture penetrates and ruins a the previous lens cartridge. Additional features may include branding security key which prevents use of replacement parts from third parties.

CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND MEDICAL DEVICE

To prevent, in a medical device that includes a tip-side device to be brought into contact with or inserted into an object to be observed and a root end-side device connected to the tip-side device, the leakage of radiation noise generated in the root end-side device to the outside and the entry of disturbance noise into the root end-side device.

A connection structure includes: a plug provided at a root end of the tip-side device; and a receptacle provided in the root end-side device and configured to hold the plug by insertion. At least one of the plug and the receptacle contains an electrically non-conductive magnetic material in a portion crossing an opening formed in the outer casing in a state where the plug is inserted in the receptacle.

Apparatus and Method of Providing an Interface to an Electrically Powered Instrument

A first connector for a medical instrument has one or more first channels extending through a first surface, and terminating at respective ends. A second connector has opposing second channels for coupling with the first channels. A first power transfer element is mounted on the first connector, and defines a first cross-sectional shape that encompasses at least one of the one or more first channels and has a first central axis extending through the first surface. A second power transfer element on the second connector defines a second cross-sectional shape that encompasses at least one of the one or more second channels and has a second central axis extending through the second surface.
