IMAGING METHOD FOR SEPARATING SPECTRAL SIGNAL COMPONENTS, AND ASSOCIATED ENDOSCOPY SYSTEM
For simplified, less computationally intensive, image recording of different spectral signal components using a plurality of color channels of a single image sensor, a targeted adjustment of a sensitivity of at least one of the color channels in relation to another one of the color channels of the image sensor is provided for a spectral separation of this reduced or adjusted color channel from the other color channel so that at least one certain spectral range (i.e., in particular a part of a first spectral range captured using the other color channel) is no longer detectable using the color channel that has been adjusted in terms of its sensitivity. This adjusted color channel becomes spectrally blind in the spectral range and can consequently spectrally selectively detect a further spectral range (specifically a second spectral range deviating from the first spectral range). The second spectral range may include a fluorescence wavelength.
Method for smart energy device infrastructure
A method for characterizing a state of an end effector of an ultrasonic device is disclosed. The ultrasonic device including an electromechanical ultrasonic system defined by a predetermined resonant frequency. The electromechanical ultrasonic system further including an ultrasonic transducer coupled to an ultrasonic blade. The method including applying, by an energy source, a power level to the ultrasonic transducer; measuring, by a control circuit coupled to a memory, an impedance value of the ultrasonic transducer; comparing, by the control circuit, the impedance value to a reference impedance value stored in the memory; classifying, by the control circuit, the impedance value based on the comparison; characterizing, by the control circuit, the state of the electromechanical ultrasonic system based on the classification of the impedance value; and adjusting, by the control circuit, the power level applied to the ultrasonic transducer based on the characterization of the state of the end effector.
Medical control device and endoscope system
A medical control device includes: a light source controller configured to modulate pulsed light by changing a crest value of a pulsed current and emit the pulsed light a plurality of times from the light source in one frame; an imaging controller configured to cause an image sensor to sequentially generate a pixel signal at a specific frame rate; and an image processor configured to use a pixel signal obtained by multiplying the pixel signal for specific one frame from each pixel of a specific horizontal line by a ratio of an amount of exposure of specific pulsed light made in the specific one frame to a total exposure amount obtained by adding each exposure amount of all of the pulsed lights exposing the specific horizontal line within the specific one frame including an illumination period of the specific pulsed light.
Multi-shield spinal access system
An access device for accessing an intervertebral disc having an outer shield comprising an access shield with a larger diameter (˜16-30 mm) that reaches from the skin down to the facet line, with an inner shield having a second smaller diameter (˜5-12 mm) extending past the access shield and reaches down to the disc level. This combines the benefits of the direct visual microsurgical/mini open approaches and the percutaneous, “ultra-MIS” techniques.
Method of robotic hub communication, detection, and control
Various surgical systems are disclosed. A surgical system can include a surgical robot and a surgical hub. The surgical robot can include a control unit in signal communication with a control console and a robotic tool. The surgical hub can include a display. The surgical hub can be in signal communication with the control unit. A facility can include a plurality of surgical hubs that communicate data from the surgical robots to a primary server. To alleviate bandwidth competition among the surgical hubs, the surgical hubs can include prioritization protocols for collecting, storing, and/or communicating data to the primary server.
Speckle removal in a pulsed fluorescence imaging system
Speckle removal in a pulsed fluorescence imaging system is described. A system includes a coherent light source for emitting pulses of coherent light, a fiber optic bundle connected to the coherent light source, and a vibrating mechanism attached to the fiber optic bundle. The system includes and an image sensor comprising a pixel array for sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The system is such that at least a portion of the pulses of coherent light emitted by the coherent light source comprises electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength from about 770 nm to about 790 nm.
Electronic assemblies including a conformal moisture barrier
An electronic assembly includes a printed circuit board (“PCB”), an electrical component attached to a surface of the PCB, and a conformal barrier disposed on at least a portion of the surface of the PCB and on an outer surface of the electrical component. The conformal barrier includes a first barrier layer including an atomic layer deposited film and a second barrier layer including Parylene.
