A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND/OR ASSESSING PUPILLARY RESPONSES
The present invention relates to a method for monitoring and/or assessing pupillary responses to a continuous illumination of light starting at a first intensity which is gradually changed to subsequent intensity over a predefined period of time. The method may be used to detect aberrant pupillary responses. Also included is a system comprising a light source with adjustable light intensity configured to expose one eye of a subject only or each of the eyes of the subject separately, to a continuous illumination of light starting at a first intensity which is gradually changed to a subsequent intensity over a predefined period of time; and a measuring device configured to measure a parameter associated with said eye's pupil response to the change in intensity of the continuous illumination of light at a succession of times over the period of time, to obtain a profile representing the pupillary response of said eye to the change in intensity of the continuous illumination of light corresponding to the succession of times over the predefined period of time.
Method, computer program product, control unit and head-mounted display for conserving energy in an eye tracking system
An eye tracking system includes at least two cameras configured to register eye images of at least one eye. The system obtains eye images from at least one camera in a subset of the at least two cameras, determines a first pupil parameter based on a first eye image, and determines a second pupil parameter based on a second eye image. The system compares the first and second pupil parameters to obtain a test parameter and checks the test parameter against at least one operation criterion. Responsive to the checking, the system assigns a respective operation state to at least one camera in the subset. The operation state involves one of (A) operating the camera at a high frame rate, (B) operating the camera at a reduced frame rate being lower than high frame rate, (C) the camera being in a standby mode or (D) the camera being powered off.
Systems and methods for anatomy-constrained gaze estimation
The disclosure relates to systems, methods and programs for anatomically-constrained gaze estimation. More specifically, the disclosure is directed to systems, methods and programs for providing a point of reference (PoR) in a 3D field and/or 2D plane, based on 6 DOF head pose constrained by the eyeball center being fixed in a common 3D coordinate system.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL COGNITIVE ABILITY EVALUATION SYSTEM
There are provided a system, an apparatus, a program, and a method for enabling objective evaluation of a three-dimensional cognitive ability through quantification. A three-dimensional cognitive ability of a measurement target person is evaluated by acquiring a position of a moving object, the position enabling identification of a distance between the moving object and the measurement target person, by receiving input of an active response of the measurement target person taken in response to a three-dimensional position of the object recognized by the measurement target person, and by determining whether the position of the object that is acquired and the response that is input correctly match. The moving object may be provided in virtual reality by a virtual reality headset, and the three-dimensional cognitive ability may also be evaluated by displaying a moving image of when the object seen from a predetermined point of view is moved in virtual reality from a movement start position to a movement end position, in a direction of approaching the predetermined point of view along a predetermined movement route, and based on a response corresponding to a position of the object.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING OPTICAL PARAMETERS
An apparatus for determining optical parameters of a user with spectacles arranged in the use position on the head of the user includes at least one projection device designed and arranged for marking a partial region of the head of the user and/or of the spectacles of the user with a light projection; at least one image recording device designed and arranged for generating image data at least from the marked partial region of the head of the user and/or of the spectacles of the user; and a data processing device with a user data determining device, which is designed to determine user data from the marked partial region of the head and/or of the spectacles on the basis of the generated image data, wherein the user data comprise spatial information in the three-dimensional space of points of the partial region of the head and/or of the spectacles, and a parameter determining device, which is designed to determine optical parameters of the user on the basis of the user data.
VISION TESTING DEVICE
A small-sized head-mount type vision testing device, which is mounted on a testee's head, including: a display device that presents a visual target to an eyeball of the testee; a display optical system that guides light of the visual target presented on the device to the retina; an imaging device that images the eyeball; and an observation optical system that guides an image of the eyeball to the imaging device, and further including a mirror that reflects light of a specific wavelength and transmits the other light at a point closer to the eyeball side than the display device, wherein an optical axis from a pupil to the mirror in the display optical system and an optical axis from the pupil to the mirror in the observation optical system, coincide with each other, and the optical axes are bent through the mirror.
Identifying sensory inputs affecting working memory load of an individual
In an aspect of the invention, a method of identifying sensory inputs affecting working memory load of an individual is provided. The method comprises monitoring (S101) working memory load of the individual using a sensor device, detecting (S102) an increase in the working memory load of the individual, and identifying (S103), in response to the detected increase, at least one sensory input affecting the working memory load of the individual.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DIMENSIONAL MEASURING AND PERSONALIZING LENS SELECTION
A device for measuring pupillary distance can include a processor for processing an electronic image, such as a selfie. The processor can be configured to determine an iris width of one or both of the eyes. The pupillary distance between the eyes can be determined based, at least in part, on the iris width.
