Differential magnetic load cells for compact low-hysteresis force and torque measurements
Magnetic load cells that measure force and/or torque are constructed from magnets and one or more arrays of magnetic field sensors. The magnetic field sensors are structured in a tight array where the array is attached to a first portion of a frame. The magnets are operated in pairs polarized in opposition to one-another. In particular, pairs of concentric magnets create sharp field boundaries. The magnets are attached to a second portion of the frame with the magnets separated from the array of field sensors by a small gap. The second portion of the frame is free to displace or rotate in relation to the first portion of the frame when a force or torque is applied to it. The displacement results in a measurable differential change in magnetic field reported by the array that can be sampled and processed to relate to the applied force or torque.

The power generating system includes at least one stationary electromagnet receiving an excitation voltage from a power supply. The at least one stationary electromagnet has a north pole, a south pole and a magnetic field. The system also includes at least one stationary coil positioned inside the magnetic field and intersected by magnetic field lines of the at least one electromagnet such that when the at least one electromagnet is excited, an electromotive force (EMF) is induced in the at least one stationary coil. The power supplied may be AC or DC. The system also includes a frequency modulator for changing the rate of electric current introduced to the at least one electromagnet so that the change of current rate will cause an EMF to be induced in the coil.
METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING MAGNETIC FIELD INTERFERENCE
An unmanned aerial vehicle includes a body frame, at least two magnetometers disposed at different positions of the body frame, and a processor communicatively coupled with the at least two magnetometers. Each of the at least two magnetometers are configured to measure magnetic field information of a magnetic field in which the unmanned aerial vehicle is positioned. The processor is configured to, in response to the magnetic field information measured by the at least two magnetometers indicating that the unmanned aerial vehicle is subject to a magnetic field interference, initiate a command instructing the unmanned aerial vehicle to stop taking off or to return.
System and method for performing scanning tunneling microscopy on current-carrying samples
A scanning tunneling microscopy based potentiometry system and method for the measurements of the local surface electric potential is presented. A voltage compensation circuit based on this potentiometry system and method is developed and employed to maintain a desired tunneling voltage independent of the bias current flow through the film. The application of this potentiometry system and method to the local sensing of the spin Hall effect is outlined herein, along with the experimental results obtained.

Magnetic Rolling Bearing Capable Of Reducing Balance Radial Force Of Gear Pump, And Its Life Calculation Method
The present invention discloses a magnetic rolling bearing capable of reducing the balance radial force of the gear pump, which includes a magnetized inner ring, a rolling body, a cage, and a magnetized outer ring assembly. The inner ring is magnetized to make the inner and outer ring surfaces of the magnetized inner ring have different magnetic properties; the magnetized outer ring assembly consists of four components, namely an upper ring surface of the magnetized outer ring assembly, a lower ring surface of the magnetized outer ring assembly, and two components in left and right. The left and right components are not magnetized, they are connected by recesses and are fixed with bolts, and the four components are alternately connected to form a complete ring.

The method comprises determining a common spatial region in accordance with a first spatial region partially superimposed upon an at least a second spatial region, the first and at least a second spatial regions associated with a first and an at least a second magnetic signatures respectively; and generating, based at least in part on the first and at least a second magnetic signatures, a re-purposed magnetic signature associated with the common spatial region.
MOBILE PHONE SANITIZATION DEVICE
A mobile phone sanitization device using short-wavelength ultraviolet (UVC) requires only one single light source. With the smooth surface of a closed chamber that accommodates the mobile phone and the retention distance between the mobile phone and the closed chamber, short-wavelength ultraviolet is reflected to every surface of the mobile phone. At the same time, the Hall sensor ensures that the ultraviolet lamp is turned off when the cover of the mobile phone sanitization device is opened, preventing ultraviolet light from being irradiated to the human body, achieving both efficient and safe effects.
