20230094001 · 2023-03-30 · ·

Provided herein is a corneal topography system that utilizes a prism placed in optical alignment between the pattern image generator, such as a Placido disk, and the eye. The corneal topography system may be a prismatic triangulating corneal topography system that utilizes light rays of angle θ at the edge of the prism not passing through the prism, light rays that deviate from angle θ passing through the prism and light rays of angle a calculated from the reflection image to determine the corneal reflection point on the corneal surface. Also provided is a method for mapping a corneal surface of an eye of a subject utilizing an optical prism to produce a reflection image from a corneal surface reflection point on the corneal surface of the eye.

Handheld and slit lamp detachable camera with pivotable arm

A clinician eye camera apparatus, networked system, and medium to record eye images using the three different types of light to diagnose different medical conditions/disorders, comprising: 1) a camera unit housing a) a front PCB with a plurality of LED's and a middle aperture to fit a rear camera lens; b) a middle camera filter unit, comprising a plurality of light filters, and a servo motor with a propeller that rotates the light filters into position in front of a rear camera lens; c) the rear camera lens; and 2) a pivotable arm assembly comprising a top end unit attachable to the camera unit, and a middle handle unit pivotably attached to an arm unit. The arm assembly can be used in a straight handheld mode; or bent 90 degrees for mounting in a slit lamp. Images are transmitted to a clinician computer and/or a remoter server.

Miniaturized indirect ophthalmoscopy for wide-field fundus photography

A wide-field fundus indirect ophthalmoscopy method and apparatus are provided that can be miniaturized to be suitable for employment in a smartphone and that overcome limitations of existing smartphone wide field fundus imaging devices and methods, such as high cost, clinical deployment challenges and limited field of view. The wide-field fundus indirect ophthalmoscopy method and apparatus are also well suited for use in rural and underserved areas where both expensive instruments and skilled operators are typically not available. The wide-field fundus indirect ophthalmoscopy method and apparatus enable wide-field snapshot fundus images to be captured with wide fields of view (FOV) under mydriatic and non-mydriatic conditions and also enables video recordings of the fundus to be captured from which montages can be constructed with even wider FOVs.

HEADSET SYSTEM FOR BIOMEDICAL IMAGING FOR EARLY TUMOR DETECTION
20230086228 · 2023-03-23 ·

An independent wearable biomedical imaging system for early tumor detection the system including a physician headset having a graphical display in wireless communication with a patient headset having a left and right camera. The physician headset includes a map template database disposed in the memory storage drive including data specifying anatomical location of a patient tumor using sclera scans of a patient sclera and iris received from the patient headset. The physician can visually access the sclera scans from the patient headset camera and overlay with the map template to compare patient scan biomarkers with the map data. The physician may use the results in indicating strong genotype predisposition to tumors and tumor formation. The system algorithm would continue to amass biodata in the datasets helping the physician to increase accuracy in generating eye reports and statistical probability of tumor as well as genetic marker predisposition of the same.
