Wearable device and method for controlling the same
Provided are a wearable device and a method for controlling the same. The wearable device may include a distance sensor unit configured to output a first signal for determining a distance between a user and the wearable device and to receive the first signal reflected from the user. The wearable device may also include a biometric sensor unit configured to output a second signal for determining biometric information of the user and to receive the second signal reflected from the user, and a controller configured to determine the distance based on the received first signal and to obtain the biometric information of the user based on a change in an attribute of the received second signal. The controller may control the biometric sensor unit to output the second signal if the determined distance is equal to or less than a reference distance.
HEARING DEVICE AND MONITORING SYSTEM THEREOF
A system for monitoring the status and/or performance of one or more hearing devices is disclosed. The system comprises a number of access points configured to receive wireless signals transmitted by the hearing devices, wherein the access points are connected to a central unit communicatively connected to the Internet/cloud, wherein the system is configured to automatically monitor the status and/or performance of one or more parameter of the one or more hearing devices received by access points, wherein the monitored parameters are accessible from the central unit and/or from a cloud service.
DETECTION DEVICE, FIRST DETECTION SYSTEM, AND SECOND DETECTION SYSTEM
A detection device is a detection device for estimating the occurrence of an allergic reaction, and includes a detection section which noninvasively acquires information of an internal skin or a skin surface as detection data for estimating the allergic reaction. The detection section includes a skin temperature detection section which detects a skin temperature, and at least one detection section which acquires the detection data other than the skin temperature.
Wearable personal monitoring system
A system includes one or more sensors to detect activities of a mobile object; and a processor coupled to the sensor and the wireless transceiver to classify sequences of motions into groups of similar postures each represented by a model and to apply the models to identify an activity of the object.
Method and apparatus for providing data processing and control in a medical communication system
Methods and apparatus for providing data processing and control for use in a medical communication system are provided.
DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING SLEEP DISORDERS
Methods, systems, and devices for assessing breathing disorders such as apneas and hypopneas are provided. An airflow monitoring device can be positioned in thermal communication with respiratory airflow (nasal and/or oral airflow). The airflow monitoring device can include a thermistor configured to measure heating and cooling cycles of respiratory airflow and determine respiratory airflow velocity from analysis of thermistor cooling. This velocity, alone or in combination with other physiological parameters, such as blood oxygen saturation, respiration effort, heart rate, body movement, etc. can be employed to assess sleep disorders.
WIRELESS SENSING DEVICES AND METHOD FOR DETECTING HYDRATION
At least some aspects of the present disclosure feature an RF hydration sensor in an assembly, comprises a substrate; an antenna disposed on the substrate; an RF circuit electrically coupled to the antenna; a thermal source electrically coupled to the RF circuit for changing a thermal condition of a target area; and a sensing element thermally coupled to the thermal source for sensing a temperature of the thermal source. The RF hydration sensor wirelessly receives a power from a remote transceiver and provides at least part of the power to the thermal source.
INTRA-BODY COMMUNICATION METHOD FOR IMPLANTED AND NON-IMPLANTED BIOSENSORS OR DEVICES
An intra-body communication system for monitoring physiological changes in a patient is provided. The system can include a first device implanted into a patient's body; a second device spaced apart from the first device; and a receiver for detecting and/or decoding the signals to monitor physiological changes in the patient. The first device and second device are capable of engaging in a two-way communication through transmission of one or more signals through at least a portion of the patient's body between the first device and the second device. In one embodiment, the signal may be an optical signal.
TEMPERATURE SENSING PATCH
A temperature sensing patch that is easy to use and capable of efficiently monitoring temperature change in human, body for a long time, capable of being used with a reading device, comprising the temperature sensing patch configured to attach to human skin, comprising a housing, a circuit board, a temperature sensing unit electrically connected with the circuit board, a battery, a processor chip, at least a memory unit, and at least a port; wherein the processor chip can automatically turn on the temperature sensing patch and reset the previous data by a predetermined program, rather than through a manual switch, when the temperature sensing patch is removed from the reading device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND DETECTING SYMPTOMS OF INFECTIOUS CONDITIONS
Systems and methods may include a first monitoring device positioned at a first location to monitor a monitored environment; and a second monitoring device positioned at a second location to monitor the monitored environment, wherein the first and second monitoring devices calibrate each other based on respective fiducial markers; wherein the first and second monitoring devices each comprise a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform the operations of: detecting presence of the individual in the monitored environment; determining whether the condition of interest of the individual exceeds a determined threshold; based on the condition of interest of the individual exceeding the determined threshold, transmitting the condition of interest to a remote server to determine at least one of a social distancing breach and an identification of another person whom the individual contacted.
