SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTERPOLATED VIRTUAL APERATURE RADAR TRACKING
A method for interpolated virtual aperture array radar tracking includes: transmitting first and second probe signals; receiving a first reflected probe signal at a radar array; receiving a second reflected probe signal at the radar array; calculating a target range from at least one of the first and second reflected probe signals; corresponding signal instances of the first reflected probe signal to physical receiver elements of the radar array; corresponding signal instances of the second reflected probe signal to virtual elements of the radar array; interpolating signal instances; calculating a first target angle; and calculating a position of the tracking target relative to the radar array from the target range and first target angle.
ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER HEALTH STATUS MONITOR
An ultrasonic-based system includes a transmitter and receiver, an ultrasonic transducer including ≥1 piezoelectric element having a matching layer thereon connected to the transmitter. A controller is coupled to the transmitter. The transmitter is for driving the piezoelectric element with a pulsed electrical signal, where the piezoelectric element transmits a transmit ultrasonic signal. A current/voltage measurement circuit is coupled to sense a current or voltage in the transmitter. The controller is for implementing an algorithm for an ultrasonic transducer monitoring method including comparing an amplitude of the pulsed signal to a predetermined limit. When the pulsed signal is determined to be outside the limit, an impedance of the piezoelectric element is determined to be abnormal. When the pulsed signal is within the limit, the amplitude of the received signal is compared to a lower limit, which when below results in determining a cleaning operation for the ultrasonic transducer is needed.
Devices and methods for measuring vascular deficiency
The present invention relates to devices and methods for measuring vascular deficiency using Doppler ultrasound detection. Embodiments can be used to monitor the condition of surgical tissue flaps or other conditions in which obstruction in the vascular system can impact patient health. The systems can include a Doppler ultrasound probe, a color probe, a temperature probe, and/or other suitable probes to measure blood volume and perfusion status of a tissue region. The systems and methods can be used to monitor flaps after flap transplant surgeries. The systems and methods can automatedly assess tissue condition and alert the patient or medical staff if the condition has fallen below a threshold indicating occlusion of a blood vessel. One or more additional sensors can be integrated into a probe to measure vascular conditions and a metric can be computed based on sensed data.
SWITCHED CAPACITOR DELAY LINE
A delay line control circuit includes a pseudo-random number generator and a random phase generator circuit coupled to the pseudo-random number generator. The pseudo-random number generator is configured to produce a predetermined sequence of pseudo-random values. The random phase generator circuit is configured to randomize an access sequence for capacitors of a delay line. The random phase generator circuit includes a sequence register, an adder, and gating circuitry. The sequence register is configured to a store a value identifying one of the capacitors to be accessed. The adder is coupled to the sequence register, and is configured to increment the value stored in sequence register. The gating circuitry is coupled to the pseudo-random number generator and the adder. The gating circuitry is configured to pass one of the pseudo-random values to the adder for addition to the value stored in the sequence register.
