Combined active current location (ACL) and tissue proximity indication (TPI) system
A method includes transmitting electrical signals between one or more pairs of body-surface electrodes attached to a body of a patient. Electrical potentials resulting from the transmitted electrical signals are acquired by an outer-facing electrode and an inner-facing electrode of a medical probe inserted in an organ of the patient. A proximity of the medical probe to surface tissue of the organ is estimated based on the electrical potentials acquired by the outer-facing electrode. A position of the medical probe within the organ is estimated based on the electrical potentials acquired by the inner-facing electrode.
Modelling a structure in a body
Methods and systems of computing parameter values of one or more model parameters are described. The model models structural and dielectric properties of a structure in a human or an animal body. An exemplary method includes: accessing voltage measurements made at different places in the vicinity of the structure by one or more in-body field sensing electrodes in response to currents applied to one or more field supplying electrodes; and computing the parameter values by adjusting the parameter values to fit predicted voltage values to the accessed voltage measurements, wherein the predicted voltage values are predicted from the model for the currents applied to the field supplying in-body electrodes.
Continuous Three-Dimensional Imaging for Magnetic Resonance Elastography
Described here are systems and methods for a robust magnetic resonance elastography (“MRE”) imaging platform for rapid dynamic 3D MRE imaging. The imaging platform includes an MRE pulse sequence and advanced image reconstruction framework that work synergistically in order to greatly expand the domains where MRE can be deployed successfully.
Patient specific risk prediction of cardiac events from image-derived cardiac function features
Systems and methods for predicting a patient specific risk of cardiac events for cardiac arrhythmia are provided. A medical image sequence of a heart of a patient is received. Cardiac function features are extracted from the medical image sequence. Additional features are extracted from patient data of the patient. A patient specific risk of a cardiac event is predicted based on the extracted cardiac function features and the extracted additional features.

The present disclosure may provide imaging methods, systems and storage media. The imaging methods may include: obtaining first imaging data acquired by an imaging device, wherein the first imaging data includes data corresponding to a plurality of cardiac cycles; and performing image reconstruction on data corresponding to the plurality of cardiac cycles in the first imaging data to acquire one or more cardiac cines. Each cardiac cine of the one or more cardiac cines may include cardiac images of a plurality of phases in at least one cardiac cycle.
Systems and methods for diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular disease by comparing arterial supply capacity to end-organ demand
Systems and methods are disclosed for to determining a blood supply and blood demand. One method includes receiving a patient-specific model of vessel geometry of at least a portion of a coronary artery, wherein the model is based on patient-specific image data of at least a portion of a patient's heart having myocardium; determining a coronary blood supply based on the patient-specific model; determining at least a portion of the myocardium corresponding to the coronary artery; determining a myocardial blood demand based on either a mass or a volume of the portion of the myocardium, or based on perfusion imaging of the portion of the myocardium; and determining a relationship between the coronary blood supply and the myocardial blood demand.
Phased array intravascular devices, systems, and methods utilizing photoacoustic and ultrasound techniques
Imaging devices, systems, and methods are provided. Some embodiments of the present disclosure are particularly directed to imaging a region of interest in tissue with photoacoustic and ultrasound modalities. In some embodiments, a medical sensing system includes one or more external optical emitters and a measurement apparatus configured to be placed within a vascular pathway. The measurement apparatus may include a sensor array comprising sensors of two or more types. The sensors may be configured to receive sound waves created by the interaction between emitted optical pulses and tissue, and transmit and receive ultrasound signals. The medical sensing system may also include a processing engine operable to produce images of the region of interest and a display configured to visually display the image of the region of interest.
Radial array transducer-based photoacoustic and ultrasonic endoscopy system
A photoacoustic and ultrasonic endoscope includes an optical fiber, a light diffuser configured to radially diffuse a laser beam transmitted through the optical fiber, and an array transducer having a cylindrical shape and surrounding the light diffuser, the array transducer being configured to transmit the diffused laser beam therethrough and to generate an ultrasonic wave or detect an ultrasonic wave generated by an object to be examined.
Systems and methods for non-invasive cardiac assessment
Described herein are neural network-based systems, methods and instrumentalities associated with cardiac assessment. An apparatus as described herein may obtain electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) information associated with a human heart and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) information associated with the human heart, and integrate the ECGI and MRI information using a machine-learned model. Using the integrated ECGI and MRI information, the apparatus may predict target ablation sites, estimate electrophysiology (EP) measurements, and/or simulate the electrical system of the human heart.
