The controller is configured to calculate a temporal change of a power spectrum on the basis of the signal and detect noise included in the signal on the basis of the temporal change of the power spectrum.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING FLUID MANAGEMENT TO A PATIENT
An optical sensing system includes an optical detector, a rigid support structure for attaching the detector and a coherent light source to a patient and holding those in position, relative to soft tissue, while the coherent light forms a speckle pattern within the tissue in view of the detector. Attaching the detector to the patient via the rigid structure permits hands-free detection of the speckle pattern by the detector. Preferably, the rigid support structure is configured for fitment to teeth of the patient for hands-free positioning of the light source and the detector to image sublingual tissue of the patient and the detector and light source are communicatively coupled to a computer station such that the system is operable for: continuous, hands-free monitoring, by laser speckle imaging, of microcirculation while the patient is in shock, and to manage fluid delivery.
System and method for obtaining thermal image data of a body part and thermal imager
A computer-implemented method for obtaining thermal image data of a body part and a thermal imager are disclosed. The method comprises receiving image data of a body part, the image data including thermal image data, the thermal image data including thermal image data of the body part and background thermal image data, applying a classifier to the image data to detect a profile of the body part, the classifier being configured to use image data other than the thermal image data to perform the detection, generating a mask from said profile, and applying the mask to the thermal image data to remove the background thermal image data and obtain thermal image data of the body part.
System and method for conformal vision
Conformal vision with enhanced image processing of the outputted image is incorporated into novel applications. The conformal vision provides enhanced contrast by the combined inclusion of tunable filters and processing of the images that are generated by the detector. Furthermore, novel uses and applications of the conformal vision enable users to make determinations related to their health and wellness utilizing information provided by the conformal vision.
Biosensor arrangement structure
Disclosed is a biosensor arrangement structure, including: a plurality of biosensors that is disposed in a seat for supporting an occupant and that measures a health condition of the occupant. The seat includes: a seat body for holding the occupant; and an auxiliary supporter for supporting a body part of the occupant except for a torso and thighs. At least one of the plurality of biosensors is disposed at the auxiliary supporter.
Electronic device and charging module system comprising same
An electronic device of a charging module system may include a housing having a first surface facing a first direction and a second surface facing a second direction opposite to the first direction; a display device at least partially is exposed through the first surface to display information to the outside; a biometric sensor disposed to be exposed in at least an area of the second surface and sensing biometric information of a user; a battery disposed between the display device and the biometric sensor; and a plurality of electrodes disposed adjacent to the at least an area of the second surface and formed to be exposed in at least another area of the second surface, in which the plurality of electrodes may surround at least a portion of the biometric sensor, and each of the plurality of electrodes has a notch protruding or recessed at least at one end.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMAGING OF LOCALIZED AND HETEROGENEOUS DYNAMICS USING LASER SPECKLE
This disclosure relates generally to speckle image analysis, and, more particularly, to a system and method for imaging of localized and heterogenous dynamics using laser speckle. Existing speckle analysis techniques do not offer the capability to achieve both the dynamic phenomenon which carries over a specific time duration and localizing the extent of the activity at a single, chosen instant of time simultaneously. The present disclosure records an image stack consisting of N speckle images sequentially over a period, divides the image stack into a spatial window and a temporal window, converts the speckle intensity data comprised in the spatial window into a column vector. Construct a diagonal matrix and extract a singular value from the diagonal matrix, then defines a speckle intensity correlation metric using the plurality of singular values, defines a speckle activity and generates a speckle contrast image by graphically plotting the speckle activity values.
Photoplethysmography device with thermal trapping and/or warming capability and associated methods
A photoplethysmography (PPG) device includes an equipment module which includes a photodetector and first and second light emitting diodes (LED's) adapted to emit light of first and second wavelengths, respectively. The PPG device also includes a mask covering the patient facing extremity of the equipment module so that when the device is applied to a patient the mask is situated between the patient and the patient facing extremity. A processor is adapted to control drive current and/or operating time of the second LED to achieve an elevated localized body tissue temperature of a patient to which the PPG device is applied.
