Visualization of distances to walls of anatomical cavities
Described embodiments include a system that includes a display and a processor. The processor is configured to modify an image that includes a representation of a wall of an anatomical cavity, by overlaying an icon that represents an intrabody tool on a portion of the image that corresponds to a location of the intrabody tool within the anatomical cavity, and overlaying a marker on a portion of the representation of the wall that corresponds to a location at which the intrabody tool would meet the wall, were the intrabody tool to continue moving toward the wall in a direction in which the intrabody tool is pointing. The processor is further configured to display the modified image on the display. Other embodiments are also described.
ROBOT-ASSISTED DRIVING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for driving a flexible medical instrument to a target in an anatomical space with robotic assistance are described herein. The flexible instrument may have a tracking sensor embedded therein. An associated robotic control system may be provided, which is configured to register the flexible instrument to an anatomical image using data from the tracking sensor and identify one or more movements suitable for navigating the instrument towards an identified target. In some embodiments, the robotic control system drives or assists in driving the flexible instrument to the target.
Robot-assisted driving systems and methods

The flexible instrument may have a tracking sensor embedded therein. An associated robotic control system may be provided, which is configured to register the flexible instrument to an anatomical image using data from the tracking sensor and identify one or more movements suitable for navigating the instrument towards an identified target. In some embodiments, the robotic control system drives or assists in driving the flexible instrument to the target.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR ROBOTIC PLACEMENT OF ELECTRODES FOR ANATOMY IMAGING
A method comprises registering a robotic system with a patient based on first image data of the patient generated by a first modality to form a registered system, determining, within the registered system, a location for placing an electrode on the patient based on an area of interest for the patient, and causing the robotic system to place the electrode at the location on the patient.
Systems and methods for providing proximity awareness to pleural boundaries, vascular structures, and other critical intra-thoracic structures during electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy
Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for providing proximity awareness to an anatomical feature while navigating inside a patient's chest, an exemplary method including receiving image data of the patient's chest, generating a three-dimensional (3D) model of the patient's chest based on the received image data, determining a location of the anatomical feature based on the received image data and the generated 3D model, tracking a position of an electromagnetic sensor included in a tool, iteratively determining a position of the tool inside the patient's chest based on the tracked position of the electromagnetic sensor, and indicating a proximity of the tool relative to the anatomical feature, based on the determined position of the tool inside the patient's chest.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRACKING THE POSITION OF AN ENDOSCOPE WITHIN A PATIENT'S BODY
Systems and methods of tracking the position of an endoscope within a patient's body during an endoscopic procedure is disclosed. The devices and methods include determining a position of the endoscope within the patient in the endoscope's coordinate system, capturing in an image fiducial markers attached to the endoscope by an external optical tracker, transforming the captured fiducial markers from the endoscope's coordinate system to the optical tracker's coordinate system, projecting a virtual image of the endoscope on a model of the patient's organ, and projecting or displaying the combined image.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCALIZING, TRACKING AND/OR CONTROLLING MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS
Systems and methods are described herein for tracking, localization or controlling an elongate instrument or other medical instrument in an image or patient.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NAVIGATING TO A TARGET LOCATION DURING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
The systems and methods of the present disclosure are used for guiding a medical instrument towards a target, the method positioning a medical instrument at a first location within a patient anatomy, wherein the medical instrument comprises at least one sensor, determining a first biomarker measurement using the at least one sensor, determining a second biomarker measurement using the at least one sensor, comparing the first biomarker measurement with the second biomarker measurement to determine a proximity to the target to provide a first comparison, and providing guidance for moving the medical instrument based on results of the first comparison.
Mapping System with Real Time Electrogram Overlay
In one embodiment, a medical system includes a catheter configured to be inserted into a chamber of a heart of a living subject, and including a distal end including catheter electrodes configured to contact tissue at respective locations within the chamber of the heart, at least one position sensor configured to provide at least one position signal indicative of a position of the distal end, a display, and processing circuitry configured to compute the position of the distal end of the catheter responsively to the at least one position signal, render to the display a 3D anatomical map of the chamber of the heart and a 3D representation of the distal end of the catheter, and render to the display over at least part of the map, at least one intracardiac electrogram trace representing electrical activity in the tissue that is sensed by at least one of the catheter electrodes.
