A method and underwear system to better mitigate the genital chafing discomfort in men, as well as providing an improved means of absorbency for vaginal discharge in women.

An undergarment having a body portion, a channel and a tubular member. The body portion has a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion positioned between the front portion and back portion wherein the crotch portion has a first end and a second end. The channel extends between a first end and a second end of the crotch portion. The tubular member is positioned in the crotch portion of the body portion of the undergarment so as to fit between the buttocks of an individual.

The device is insertable within the gusset pocket of an undergarment and the device is made of generally flexible material such as PVC. The device additionally has curved edges on the top, the bottom, and both sides, as well as additionally containing numerous apertures which allow for airflow, as well as providing the device with the ability to twist bend and contort while a user is moving in their everyday activity.

A permeable undergarment comprising, a top portion and a bottom portion wherein the top portion of the undergarment is provided by a waistband, and the bottom portion of the undergarment is provided with the permeable layer. The permeable layer comprises a mesh of wicking fibres to wick the body fluids discharged from a user and transfers the body fluids through the permeable layer. A detachable pouch having a base layer and a plurality of side walls is also provided. The detachable pouch is defined such that, the base layer and the plurality of side walls together form a housing region. The housing region may house at least one absorption pad. The detachable pouch may be detachably attached or joined to the undergarment such that, the body fluids discharged from the user flows through the permeable layer and into the detachable pouch for absorption by the at least one absorption pad.

Lower body garments include a main body having an integral interior lining that is only secured to the main body of the garment around a peripheral lining perimeter of the interior lining. The interior lining may secure a fluid retention gusset such that the outline of the gusset is not visible on outside of garment. A gusset perimeter of the fluid retention gusset may be secured to the interior lining, but not to the main body of the garment, which may result in a leakproof lower body garment that is not immediately recognizable as having such a function when the lower body garment is worn. The interior lining may not extend around the entire right and left leg portions of the main body, such that right and left lateral leg regions may be positioned to separate anterior and posterior portions of the interior lining from each other.

A patient support (100), useful for the treatment of symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) and/or pelvic girdle pain (PGP), particularly in pregnant or postpartum women. The patient support (100) comprises a crotch section (110) adapted to bear against a patient's symphysis pubis in use. The crotch section (110) bearing against said patient's symphysis pubis may effectively relieve the discomfort and/or pain associated with SPD and/or PGP, particularly when the crotch section (110) comprises a rigid insert (700) for bearing against said patient's symphysis pubis. The use of the patient support (100) in the treatment of pelvic girdle pain and/or symphysis pubis dysfunction is also described. A rigid insert portion (700) adapted for attachment to a patient support (100) and adapted to bear against a patient's symphysis pubis in use is also described.

An underwear assembly includes an outer layer; and an inner layer, the inner layer disposed within the outer layer, the inner layer defining an access hole configured to receive a penis, a scrotum, and testicles of a user, the access hole configured to prevent withdrawal of the penis, the scrotum, and the testicles from between the inner layer and the outer layer to internal to the inner layer through the access hole.
