20190131006 · 2019-05-02 ·

A system for providing a visual summary of a condition of a patient when traumatic brain injury (TBI) is suspected or diagnosed includes at least one patient condition sensor configured to sense data representative of a patient condition parameter of interest for a TBI patient; at least one airflow sensor configured to sense data representative of ventilations provided to the patient; at least one visual display for providing the visual summary to a user; and at least one controller. The at least one controller is configured to cause the visual display to provide the visual summary. The visual summary can include at least one visual representation of at least one patient condition parameter for each time interval of a plurality of time intervals, at least one visual representation of ventilation information, and a visual indication of when at least one patient condition parameter is outside of a target range.

Method and System for Determining Body Composition
20190104987 · 2019-04-11 ·

A method and apparatus to determine body composition of a subject is disclosed. Physical characteristics of a subject and water in a pool is determined. A body of the subject is completely submerged in the pool of water such that a head of the subject is just below a surface of the water in the pool. The subject completely exhales air into an air measuring device as the body of the subject is submerged just below the surface of the water. The body composition is then determined and displayed based on the determined subject characteristics, water characteristics and the amount of air exhaled into the air measuring device.

DEVICE FOR TRAINING AND MONITORING THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

A device for training and monitoring the respiratory system comprises a main body, which defines an inhalation chamber and an exhalation chamber communicating with the external environment by means of respective external seats and interconnected by a central chamber. A mouthpiece can be further placed in fluid communication alternatively with the inhalation chamber or with the exhalation chamber by means of respective one-way valves. A measurement sensor is coupled to the main body so as to measure a value representative of the breathing process, independently monitoring the contribution of inhalation and exhalation. Such a representative value is acquired by a control unit. Lastly, an adjustable load is interposed between the mouthpiece and the central chamber.

DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING AND ANALYZING VAPOR CONDENSATE, PARTICULARLY EXHALED BREATH CONDENSATE, AS WELL AS METHOD OF USING THE SAME
20190017996 · 2019-01-17 · ·

The present invention is related to the field of bio/chemical sensing, assays and applications. Particularly, the present invention is related to collecting a small amount of a vapor condensate sample (e.g. the exhaled breath condensate (EBC) from a subject of a volume as small as 10 fL (femto-Liter) in a single drop), preventing or significantly reducing an evaporation of the collected vapor condensate sample, analyzing the sample, analyzing the sample by mobile-phone, and performing such collection and analysis by a person without any professionals.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR NON-INVASIVE MONITORING OF SUBSTANCE IN A BODY

Devices and methods are provided for non-invasive goal oriented and personalized monitoring of substance consumption directed towards aiding reduction of substance intake by a user. Based on the substance consumption characteristics and the user's profile, the user's substance consumption profile is identified and average amount of the substance in the body at a given time is computed. A threshold corresponding to amount of substance the body can sustain is then computed based on goals set by the user and the substance consumption characteristics and the user's profile. Alerts can be generated and transmitted to the user based on pre-determined conditions to help the user achieve his set goals.
