SMART JOINT MONITOR FOR BLEEDING DISORDER PATIENTS
In an approach to smart joint monitoring for bleeding disorder patients, one or more sets of data are received from a smart joint monitor, where the smart joint monitor includes one or more sensors. One or more criticalities are detected, where the one or more criticalities are detected by an artificial intelligence engine based on the one or more sets of data and a global knowledge base. One or more suggestions are determined, where the one or more suggestions are determined by the artificial intelligence engine based on the one or more criticalities and the global knowledge base.
Spasticity evaluation device, method and system
System comprises a first sensing unit, attached to a proximal portion of a human body with a joint of the human body as a reference, for measuring an acceleration of the proximal portion or an angular velocity of the proximal portion; a second sensing unit, attached to a distal end portion of the human body, for measuring an acceleration of the distal end portion or the angular velocity of the distal end portion; a processing unit for determining an angle of the joint between the proximal portion and the distal end portion on the basis of the measured acceleration or the measured angular velocity and determining a spasticity time point at which resistance to motion of the distal end portion is received; and a display unit for displaying spasticity evaluation information for a spasticity evaluation on the basis of the angle of the joint and the spasticity time point.
CENTER OF GRAVITY CONTROL SUPPORT DEVICE AND METHOD
The present invention includes: a center of gravity measurement unit 10 configured to measure a change in a center of gravity position of a standing posture of a user; a tactile stimulation signal generation unit 20 configured to, in a case where the center of gravity position deviates from a predetermined range, generate a tactile stimulation signal for applying tactile stimulation to the user; and a tactile stimulation presentation unit 30 configured to convert the tactile stimulation signal into tactile stimulation and present the tactile stimulation to a sole of a foot of the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTRA-OPERATIVE PELVIC REGISTRATION
A system for intra-operatively registering a pelvis comprising an acetabulum with a computer model of the pelvis in a coordinate system. The system may include: a) a surgical navigation system including a tracking device; and b) at least one computing device in communication with the surgical navigation system. The at least one computing device: i) receiving first data points from first intra-operatively collected points on an articular surface of the acetabulum, the first data points collected with the tracking device; ii) receiving a second data point from a second intra-operatively collected point on the pelvis, the second data point collected with the tracking device, the second data point corresponding in location to a second virtual data point on the computer model; and iii) determining an intra-operative center of rotation of the femur relative to the pelvis from the first data points.
Joint Evaluation
Disclosed herein is a method for evaluation knee stiffness and knee damping. The method may include the steps of releasing a subject's leg from an extension position to allow the leg to oscillate under gravity, tracking a knee angle and at least one joint motion characteristic during the oscillation, determining a knee joint torque and a knee gravitational moment from the knee angle and the joint motion characteristic, and determining a knee stiffness and a knee damping from the joint torque and the knee gravitational moment.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SELECTING POSITIVE AIRWAY PRESSURE MASK INTERFACE
Embodiments of the positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting system and method provide a PAP mask fitting process to a specific patient that is as automatic as possible and that returns the patient the most appropriate PAP mask fit. The PAP mask fitting is done in a relatively quick manner. Once a PAP mask fitting has identified a preferred PAP mask for the patient, an appropriate PAP mask can be ordered on demand and is quickly, and possibly immediately, provided to the patient.
Surgical orientation system and method
A system and method for detecting and measuring changes in angular position with respect to a reference plane is useful in surgical procedures for orienting various instruments, prosthesis, and implants with respect to anatomical landmarks. One embodiment of the device uses dual orientation devices of a type capable of measuring angular position changes from a reference position. One such device provides information as to changes in position of an anatomical landmark relative to a reference position. The second device provides information as to changes in position of a surgical instrument and/or prosthesis relative to the reference position.
SENSOR BODY AND SENSOR DEVICE
A sensor body including: a plate-like flexible intermediate layer that is stretchable in a surface direction; a first sensor element laminated on one surface of the intermediate layer; and a second sensor element laminated on the other surface of the intermediate layer facing the one surface. The first sensor element is configured to be capable of detecting a length corresponding to a length of a first reference line segment on the one surface of the intermediate layer, and the second sensor element is configured to be capable of detecting a length corresponding to a length of a second reference line segment that is on the other surface of the intermediate layer and parallel to the first reference line segment.
Adaptive body positioning
A patient support structure for assisting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment of a patient is described. The patient support structure includes a base frame, one or more patient support sections supported by the base frame, at least one tilt adjuster coupled to at least one of the patient support sections and configured to tilt the at least one of the patient support sections, around a transverse axis of the patient support structure, to a tilt angle, and a chest compression (CC) device mount disposed on at least one of the patient support sections and configured to adjustably secure a CC device to the patient support structure. The tilt angle may be a target tilt angle and the patient support structure may further include a processor configured to determine the target tilt angle based on at least one of sensor input and user input.
Orthopedic alignment guide
Orthopedic guide, and methods of using the guide, for alignment of bone under fluoroscopic imaging. In an exemplary embodiment, the guide may include a radiopaque rod, a radiolucent carrier, and a radiopaque indicator held by the carrier. The rod and the indicator may be parallel to the same plane, and may form an angle between one another of less than 90 degrees when projected orthogonally onto the plane. The rod may be configured to be aligned with an axis defined by one or more bones of the leg, and the indicator aligned with a joint of the leg, in an anterior-posterior, fluoroscopic view of the leg. The angle formed between the rod and the indicator may correspond to an anatomic orientation of the axis and the joint relative to one another in a frontal plane of the leg.
