TOOL FOR MEASURING VERTICAL HEIGHT
Embodiments of tools for measuring a vertical height are provided herein. In some embodiments, a tool for measuring a vertical height includes: a first elongate member having a measurement tape; a handle coupled to the first elongate member; and a second elongate member slidingly coupled to the first elongate member, wherein the second elongate member includes a measurement window configured to facilitate reading of the measurement tape to indicate a length of the tool between an upper end of the first elongate member and a lower end of the second elongate member, wherein the handle is disposed between the measurement window and the lower end of the second elongate member when the tool is in a retracted position and configured to move the first elongate member with respect to the second elongate member.
Medicine dispensing system having stair-step dosing indicators
A medicine dispensing device, configured to contain a liquid medicine to be dispensed by the medicine dispensing device and having a plurality of dosing indicia spaced apart from each other around and in relation to a circumference of a surface of the medicine dispensing device, each dosing indicia being of a different height relative to a reference level and corresponding to different dose of the liquid medicine.
INTERFACE SIZING TOOL AND METHOD
A method and apparatus can be used in the selection of correctly sized respiratory interfaces. The method includes the use of light beams to project sizing markers onto a patient's face, which enables the size of the patient's facial features to be measured relative to a set of interface sizes. A sizing apparatus can include a light source and beam splitters that will refract and project the light source into a series of beams that can be aligned on a patient's face in order to measure the features of the patient.
Mask size gauge
A mask size gauge for selecting a size of a mask in accordance with a distance in a height direction between an upper reference part in an upper portion of a face of a wearer, and a lower reference part in a lower portion, includes: a reference position indicating portion indicating that the reference position indicating portion is to be placed at a height position of the upper reference part on an outer lateral side of an eye of the wearer; and a size indicating portion that is located at a position which is closer to a middle of the face than the reference position indicating portion, and that indicates the size of the mask according to a height position of the lower reference part.
ANIMAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND ANIMAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHOD
An animal information management system includes a storage and an information processor. The information processor causes an imaging device to perform tracking imaging of a pig, and accumulates still pictures including the pig in the storage, the still pictures being obtained during the tracking imaging. The information processor brings the imaging device into a zoom-in state having a zooming magnification higher than that during the tracking imaging when a predetermined requirement for the accumulated still pictures is satisfied, obtains the identification information of the pig by causing the imaging device in the zoom-in state to capture an image of the pig, and stores the identification information in the storage, in association with the accumulated still pictures.
Method and apparatus for determining acetabular component positioning
An instrument for establishing orientation of a pelvic prosthesis comprises a hub, a first arm attached to and extending from the hub, and a second arm attached to and extending from the hub. The first and second arms define a nominal plane of the apparatus, and may extend from the hub at an angle relative to each other. Distances between the first and second legs and between the first and third legs are adjustable. The first, second, and third legs have tips, and the tips of the first, second, and third legs define a plane having a predefined geometric relationship to the nominal plane of the apparatus.
Medical diagnosis device and medical diagnosis method using same
Provided are a medical diagnosis apparatus and a medical diagnosis method using the same. According to an embodiment, the medical diagnosis apparatus may include: a main body; a chair unit movably supported by the main body and on which an object is positioned; a diagnosis part that is movably connected to the main body and is spaced apart from the chair unit by a preset first distance in one plane; a controller configured to generate a control signal for moving the diagnosis part according to preset information; and a first driving device configured to generate a driving force for moving the diagnosis part according to the control signal.
Surgical visualization feedback system
A surgical visualization feedback system is disclosed. The surgical visualization feedback system comprises an emitter assembly configured to emit electromagnetic radiation toward an anatomical structure. The emitter assembly comprises a structured light emitter configured to emit a structured light pattern on a surface of the anatomical structure and a spectral light emitter configured to emit spectral light capable of penetrating the anatomical structure. The surgical visualization feedback system further comprises a waveform sensor assembly configured to detect reflected electromagnetic radiation corresponding to the emitted electromagnetic radiation and a control circuit in signal communication with the waveform sensor assembly. The control circuit is configured to receive an input corresponding to a selected surgical procedure, determine an identity of a targeted structure within the anatomical structure based on the selected surgical procedure and the reflected electromagnetic radiation, and confirm the determined identity of the targeted structure through a user input.
IDENTIFYING BODY PART OR BODY AREA ANATOMICAL LANDMARKS FROM DIGITAL IMAGERY FOR THE FITTING OF COMPRESSION GARMENTS FOR A PERSON IN NEED THEREOF
Various examples are provided related to identification of anthropometric information for fitting of compression garments. In one example, a method of generating compression garment fit information includes acquiring images including a selected body part or body area in need of compression therapy; processing the acquired images along with a library of compression garment fit information; generating a 3D reconstruction of the selected body part/area; deriving anthropometric information for the selected body part/area from the 3D reconstruction; providing a compression value corresponding to a prescribed or intended amount of compression therapy applied to the selected body part/area; and generating compression garment fit information for the selected body part/area. In another example, a library of compression garment fit information includes anthropometric information generated for individuals in need of compression therapy; information associated with a health condition for the individuals; and compression garment fit instructions provided by a compression garment manufacturer.
MODULAR AUTOMATED PHYSICAL HEALTH TESTING SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
Automated modular physical health testing systems and associated devices and methods are disclosed herein. A modular system configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a housing, a communications hub, and a plurality of physical health testing devices. The housing integrates the communications hub and stores the plurality of physical health testing devices.
