DISPLACEMENT MEASURING DEVICE
A measurement device is disclosed for measuring a change in one or more of a circumference or a perimeter of at least a portion of an object having a surface. The measurement device includes a first part for attachment to the object, a second part having a first portion moveable relative to a first portion of the first part, a determining device for determining a displacement of the first portion of the second part relative to the first portion of the first part caused by the object changing, and a biasing device for biasing the first part and the second part towards engagement. The measured displacement is for use in determining the change in one or more of a circumference or a perimeter of the object.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF DETERMINING DIMENSIONS OF STRUCTURES IN MEDICAL IMAGES
Systems and methods for producing ultrasound images are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, ultrasound image data are acquired in discrete time increments at one or more positions relative to a subject. Control points are added by a user for two or more image frames and a processor interpolates the location of the control points for image frames obtained at in-between times.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING VOLUME AND DENSITY
Methods, systems, and computer readable medium are disclosed herein comprising detecting a first tension; detecting a second tension; determining a difference between the first tension and the second tension; and estimating a volume change based at least in part on the determined difference.
Wound therapy system with wound volume estimation
A pump generates a vacuum at a wound site via first tubing. A negative pressure circuit is defined by a canister, the first tubing and the wound site. A controller of a therapy device operates the pump to apply a first negative pressure to the entirety of the negative pressure circuit, following which ambient air is allowed to flow into the negative pressure circuit. The controller also operates the pump to apply a second negative pressure to a selected portion of the negative pressure circuit exclusive of the wound site, following which ambient air is allowed to flow into the selected portion. A quantity of fluid to be delivered to the wound site via a second tubing is determined by comparing measured parameters related to the flow of air into the negative pressure circuit to parameters measured with respect to the flow of air into the selected portion.
Topical Nerve Stimulator and Sensor for Bladder Control
What is provided is a method and apparatus for modifying bladder function comprising: applying a dermal patch having an integral electrode in proximity to a sacral or pudendal nerve; selecting the sacral or pudendal nerve by a sensor integral on the dermal patch; determining a stimulation corresponding to the sacral or pudendal nerve, by logic of the dermal patch; applying the stimulation by the electrodes and a stimulator integral to the dermal patch to produce an electric field; and selectively activating the sacral or pudendal nerve by the electric field.
Imaging a Body
There is disclosed a device for imaging a body. In one arrangement, the device comprises a controller, storage storing electronic program instructions for controlling the controller, a display for displaying a user interface, and an input means. In one form, the controller is operable, under control of the electronic program instructions, to receive input via the input means, where the input comprises a first representation of the body, to process the first representation, to generate a second representation of the body on the basis of processing of the first representation, and to display the generated second representation via the display.
Patient supporting device, treatment apparatus with a patient supporting device and corresponding method for controlling and/or regulating a medical treatment device
The subject matter is a patient supporting device for supporting a patient during a medical treatment, in particular a dialysis treatment, and a treatment apparatus with such a patient supporting device, and a corresponding method for controlling and/or regulating a medical treatment device, in particular a dialysis device, using such a patient supporting device.
System and method for monitoring a retail environment using video content analysis with depth sensing
A method and system for monitoring a retail environment by performing video content analysis based on two-dimensional image data and depth data are disclosed. Accuracy in customer actions to provide assistance, change marketing behavior, safety and theft, for example, is increase by analyzing video containing two-dimensional image data and associated depth data. Height data may be obtained from depth data to assist in object detection, object classification (e.g., detection a customer or inventory) and/or event detection.
Methods for determining the size of body parts as part of compression therapy procedures
Methods are disclosed for measuring the size of body parts treated by a compression therapy device. Either the volume or circumference of the body part may be measured. The methods may include evacuating an inflatable compression sleeve to a known pressure, inserting the body part into the compression sleeve, inflating the sleeve to a pre-set condition, and then measuring one or more inflation related parameters. The pre-set conditions may include a pre-determined pressure, volume, or size of the inflatable cells comprising the sleeve. The inflation related parameters may include the time to fill the cell to a pre-set pressure, the pressure attained after a pre-set time of inflation, or the measured volume of a cell after a pre-set amount of air is introduced into it. The methods may also include deflating the cells from the known inflation state to a second inflation state and measuring similar parameters.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING VOLUMETRIC DATA OF A PREDETERMINED ANATOMICAL FEATURE
A method of determining volumetric data of a predetermined anatomical feature is described. The method comprising determining volumetric data of one or more anatomical features present in a field of view of a depth sensing camera apparatus, identifying a predetermined anatomical feature as being present in the field of view of the depth sensing camera apparatus, associating the volumetric data of one of the one or more anatomical features with the identified predetermined anatomical feature, and outputting the volumetric data of the predetermined anatomical feature. An apparatus is also described.
